While I think people are definitely exaggerating with Aloy in HFW lol they probably have done bits to make Aloy's model less attractive.
This is what makes Stellar Blade such a breath of fresh air.
What was her age in the original TLOU? Was she always supposed to be 51 or is that something they added in the remake?
The weirdest for me is Spider-Man 2. In the first game, Peter Parker and MJ looked around the same age... But in SM2, MJ and Peter look like mother and son!
Stellar Blade is from a Korean dev. Asian devs don't follow Western standards.
@Jag85: I don't think it was ever confirmed, but it has been suggested she was around 30-42 in the original story, with Joel being around 50.
Of course ND being all woke and people finding it weird for a grown woman in her 30s to be dating a guy in his late 40s / early 50s so I believe ND retconned and changed her age to 51 in order to make it "less creepy".
Then they turned a hot 30 something chick into what looks like a 55 year mom.
Cause god forbid handsome gritty Joel gets a hot not so old girlfriend.

I think people are realizing the celebration of Sony's super exclusives are largely overblown beautifully mediocre games, just dabbling in a few of what has been offered so far is giving people pause about trying them and/or double dipping if they own a PS console.
Some reason Sony is still full steam ahead about about porting to PC without any idea of how to strengthen their console-PC ecosystem.
@BassMan: And it's the game that got started on the PC path and if it wasn't for Crysis, I would have never discovered the beauty of PC gaming. I still replay the game and sometimes Crysis 3.
Curious as to what Crysis 4 will bring to the table.
@davillain: Yeah, Crysis helped pave the road for many games and game technology. It is definitely a landmark title. Hopefully Crysis 4 is good, but I am not sure of the ability of Crytek these days. They have been all over the place as a company for the last 10 years or so.
Zero dawn was such a generic open world game and got too repetitive very quickly. Love the environments and themes of the game but at its core offers very little. I wonder if people remember that too well and will steer clear of this one.

It’s not like Sony really need the PC crowd for Horizon Forbidden West to be successful. Sony porting over its exclusive to PC is more like a “why not?” move.
I gotta say, Forbidden West has me hooked so damn well, the whole world is just looks damn good on PC. Glad I waited this long to come on PC. Worth the money over Dragon's Dogma 2 and that's saying something.

If there's one thing Sony has done good is by purchasing Nixxes to handle PC ports. They still have a long way to go but so far, they're pretty good on PC porting.

The first PlayStation games that released on PC sold just ok, but they’ve been performing worse and worse as they‘ve come out. PC is a different market. A market that’s not gonna save PlayStation or Xbox…

That screenshot makes her look a bit better than other screenshots I've seen of her. Yet even in that screenshot, she still doesn't look much like the IRL actress she's supposed to be based on. With Capcom games, the in-game characters typically resemble the IRL models. But with Western AAA games, the in-game characters often bear little resemblance to the IRL models.

I always thought they got they did well with the art direction for Aloy. She's attractive, but still fits in with the setting. If you look closely at the screenshot and glamor shot of the actress, you can see her facial features line up pretty well. Main difference is Aloy is a bit sun burnt and doesn't wear makeup. Both things that make sense given her living situation. But you know gamers. It's "pandering" any time a woman doesn't look like an Instagram THOT.

@Jag85: you can get the hottest people in the world to look ugly if you take a picture from a bad angle at the right time. That's what these incles are doing with a lot of these screenshots.
