Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Announced

... for the 3DS. It's coming April 2012.

Developed by n-Space (known for games like Geist, Goldeneye 007 (DS), the DS versions ofCall of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and the upcoming Heroes of Ruin), the game, to be published by Atari, will feature new rides and the same old blueprint that has made the RCT series so well known and beloved.

- in-game adviser will hep identify in-part objectives and show players their progress

At least it's Roller Coaster Tycoon 3DS and not Roller Coaster Tycoon 4. :P

I'm glad the series is still alive. Now we can hope more than ever for a fourth PC game!

They could have done the same to this as AOE-online. Create your own home-themepark, and have quests/missions and such.
Though I love that the 3DS is getting some value, I fail to see how this game translates well to a handheld experience.

I don't see how the 3DS is a failed platform, it just lacks games right now.

RCT 3 and expansions is still a great game on PC, way better than this stupid 3DS BS.

But there are a lot of things a new title could have brought in using new technology, and new play models other sim/strategy games have developed since RCT 3.

I was JUST talking about this with a friend too. We we're wondering why the Sim City and RCT franchises were so dormant. Anyone who owned the rights to these has essentially, a license to print money. PC gamers are starved for a good sequel to both.

If this happens to Sim City 5, I'll kill a kitten. Hear me EA!?!?! I'll kill a kitten!!!

It's failed. No games. Low sales. Had to have a huge price cut, and is competing in a market that continues to be dominated by the likes of the iPhone, iPad, and other hand held, mobile devices.

In fact, making it an iphone app might have at least made financial sense.

It has low sales because it has little games, do you think the DS started off with tons of games? Developers not making games for it because of low sales won't help it.

The name has not been officially announced yet. If they made a RCT4 it would probably be a PC game.

My excitment from reading the title was at a 10/10 then it sunk to 0/10 after reading 3DS and seeing the screenshot.
