The awards is kinda weird as the fact they all pretent cyberpunk doesn't exist.

Congrats to TLOU2 winning GOTY...but Ghost of Tsushima & Animal Crossing: New Horizons are my GOTY 2020.

Lame show overall.

Last Of Us 2 truly is the greatest game of modern times.

The only reason the game won was because the guy doesn't want to get cancelled rofl.

Well that was pretty fun. Happy to see Sephiroth in Smash, Perfect Dark, Ghosts & Goblins Resurrected, Capcom Arcade, and some other stuff that we mostly already knew about. Very hyped for that Mass Effect tease and saw some good looking games and stuff.

Wether you like the story of TLOU 2 or not, the game is freaking epic.

Bug of the Year should go to Cyberpunk 2077

Awards are about 2020 games. cyberpunk came out in 2020. maybe they should put the show a month later. as of now it just looks incredible stupid because everybody pretents the game doesn't exist. even while its the biggest juggernaut game of the year.

biggest juggernaut of the year is CoD Warzone and Animal Crossing New Horizon.

They wouldn't have gave it GOTY anyway because too many blue checkmarks are calling it transphobic. These awards were political statements. Nothing to do with what games they actually had fun playing.

That Mass Effect trailer... ...many stuff going on in my head.

One thing for certain, it's definitely set after Mass Effect 3, what with the ruins of the Citadel (edit, watched the trailer again to realise it's actually a Mass Relay) and possibly the presence of what looks like Liara. Might even be centuries after. Dead Reaper in the background suggests they're cutting off the branches and going with the Red Ending. Probably for the best.

It also hints at some elements of the story... ...something about aliens watching the early days of human space exploration?

Well, congratulations, BioWare, you got me intrigued, though the credit doesn't entirely belong to you. Let's just say a certain other game got me into the mood, then you sealed the deal.

Anyway, congratulations to Neil Druckmann and Naughty Dog. Hope it was worth the horrible crunch that went into making that game.

Terrible show. This is the last time I watch.

I would've bet money on elden ring being shown and it wasn't yet again. wtf is this tease, fromsoft. Stop.

And i just fund out that Elden Ring won the award of the most anticipated title. Such "niche" genre btw.

I'm surprised that Doom Eternal didn't win any awards. It is my favorite game of 2020. Oh well.

What really shocks me is The Last of Us Part II winning so many even though a lot of people hated it.

I didn't bother watching the show but got the announcement highlights after. I was actually impressed with a couple announcements/updates.

• Mass Effect (new game)
• Crimson Desert
• Back 4 Blood
• Evil West (has possibilities)

Who the f**k knows anymore. Defamation is vomited out everywhere these days. Terms like racist, transphobic and many others have zero meaning anymore. They've been applied to everything and everyone that doesn't agree with a specific worldview. Hell... at one point, math was called racist.

It's ridiculous at best now and as you described it... BS. I ignore the stupidity and keep moving forward. I suggest you attempt the same to keep your sanity.

It was a pretty good night. I think people have just been accustomed to expecting these huge announcements (like XSX reveal last year).

It was something to have on in the background while I signed christmas cards, but that was probably the most boring videogame show I've watched ever

Perfect Dark, announcement with The Initiative, as the dev. stole the show fur chur.

The new Mass Effect, trailer being shown was a nice bonus, fingers crossed they do it right.

The rest gets a big meh. :P

I'm sorry but Geoff Keighley wasn't at his best compare to last year but this year's VGA was a ghost townall because of Covid-19 situation and doing the Zoom mode wasn't the best either. (Well mostly for everyone doing Zoom this year games event) But my issue was the fact TLOU2 while a good game in it's own right, it was just in too many categories and not giving the little games a chance to shine. Last year was amazing, this year's VGA, not so much. I'll give it a 7/10 but the world premiers made up for the show.

And it hasn't been niche for over half a decade. People do still call it niche, tho. Maybe some don't know the definition of "niche".

The best showing was Callisto Protocol or whatever its called. That game has potential and i do love the setting a lot.

I was sleeping, woke up and saw last of us 2 win every single awards. didnot surprised.

Angry Joe was the hero who tried to tear this wall down.

Oh yeah Ark 2. From my 1st watch it seem someone just pasted Vin Diesel's head onto a random character.
