Gonna be a good year, personally the South Park game is my pick, but I'm a fan boy :)
Dragon Age 3 and Watch Dogs (if they come out) are next and then Last Of Us, Two Souls (or whatever that ellen page game is called), Sim City and GTA V

So I want to replay the Mass Effect trilogy with all the DLC on my PC using my wired 360 controller, but the PC games do not support that or any other controller. What's the best software out there for games that don't nativly support (360) controllers?

thanks for looking

So I screwed up and ordered a 3.5" (floppy size) media card reader for my rig instead of the the 5.25" (optical size), it just arrived and I relized my mistake. I was wondering if there are any adapters out there to fit this 3.5" device into one of 5.25" bay (my case has no 3.5" bays). I assume there must be but I need to know the name of what I'm looking for. I'm in Canada if anyone has any specific recommendations.... (amazon.ca would be great)
thanks for looking

So:
1) install SSD
2) format & intall windows onto the SSD (and make it top of the boot order)
3) install old HDD
4) copy wanted files from old HDD to SSD
5) reformat old HDD
6) reinstall programs

What would you guys recommend I leave on the SSD (it's only 240gb), I was thinking just:
Windows, Office, Steam (but have it install games to the HDD), work/school related programs (autoCAD, photoshop, sketchup) and drivers

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"]Not all programs, but most have registry entries and probably won't work properly. Best method is always to fresh install the programs if you have a new install of Windows.FelipeInside

darn, my main concern is steam and all the other programs that have to be redownloaded

Steam has a backup function, so you just have to back the games up and reinstall Steam on the new Windows, then restore the games back. What other programs?

nice! I'll look into that, don't supposed Origin is as nice?

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"]You can CLONE the Windows Install to a new Hard Drive, using something like EASUS ToDo Backup. Be aware though that if ur going for an SSD, it's optimal to install a fresh Windows on it, since it will set it up as an SSD drive. If you decide to go with clone, read guides on what you need to do with the SSD and Windows.FelipeInside

Yeah I won't be cloning, I'll try to explain again, I'll be doing a fresh windows install on the new SSD, I'll be using the current HDD as a secondary drive, will the programs already intalled on the HDD still work? Will I have to wipe out the drive since it has an OS on it?

My apologies if I understood wrong. Follow these steps: 1- Install the SSD BY ITSELF (leave ur current HDD unplugged) 2- Install fresh Windows on the SSD 3- Once installed and drivers and updates and all that, turn off ur PC and plug in your old HDD (it will come up as a secondary drive) 4- Most programs will probably not work, or work correctly since they are pointing to the old Windows which doesn't exist anymore. Best thing is to reinstall the programs for the new Windows. 5- Before doing that, on the OLD HDD (Secondary Drive), delete the Windows Folder and also the Program Files and Program Files(x86) folder, as well as any other folder which ISN'T your personal data. 6- IMPORTANT: before deleting these folders, make sure you don't have personal data in there, like saved game files, My Documents (Pictures, Music, Movies etc). 7- Once all is done, you should be left with a new Windows on the SSD, and your old HDD just storing your personal data. 4-

damn, so all the programs will be wiped out :(

XaosII

They will more than likely work. Most programs do not require the use of the registry. However, you will also still keep the old windows installation around in the 1 TB. Thats at least 20 - 35 GB of totally wasted space since you have no need of the old Windows installation.

Most people will recommend you to wipe it simply because its less likely to cause problems down the road.

Since many years ago, i've always had one smaller drive with Windows on it and another drive with all my applications and games on it. Makes the process of formating or upgrading windows much easier.

Thank you, so if I install it and get my boot order right, it all ought to work? Will I be able to uninstall/manually delete windows off the HDD?
