The thing about reboot is that it allows new players to pick up a series without having to play the previous games, but it also allows existing fans to drop the series without feeling too attached. RIP Mass Effect, for now at least.

Glad I cancelled when I saw those videos about poor animations.

While that by itself is not (but close to) a deal-breaker, the fact that something that glaring was left in indicated to me that the game lacked polish and will likely suffer in other areas. Turns out I was right.

My Take Your Heart Edition with Amazon US is still active. I'm having it shipped all the way to New Zealand too.

I wonder why it's only affecting a small number of customers, according to Atlus. Perhaps there is some material in there that's restricted in certain countries? Don't see how that can be the case considering that New Zealand has one of the strictest bio-security regulation in the world.

I also noticed that the Take Your Heart Edition now ships only in US. I bought mine months ago when it was still shipping internationally, and right now I'm still been given an estimated delivery date.

It would have been great if Nioh was a multiplat. It would have attracted Souls fans on all three major platforms and received far better sales.

Then again, maybe the project never would have went ahead if it didn't come attached with the exclusivity as a condition.

I didn't expect it to be great, and personally I still don't see how it's meaningful (limited mainly by its horsepower, not its design).

That said, it is likely an interesting direction for future consoles, and I can't argue against the sales figures.

It's essentially a restricted demo with no time limit for anyone considering the game.

Logically it's a very sound model for people trying to find out if they want to stay with the game for good.

Geralt for sure. Was with him since the original flawed Witcher 1.

Cheers. DTS it is. Mine supports both Dolby and DTS.

I have my PS4 Pro connected to my 5.1 speakers (Z906) via optical, so I understand that due to bandwidth limitation of the optical cable I cannot get PCM Linear 5.1.

As such, which is better? Dolby or DTS?

What would be the point of owning all of the systems if you could play on just one? it provides no incentive to the hardware manufacturers to compete. Being able to have a system seller helps define the console. Nintendo Switch alone will probably have the most exclusives for a console ever. Isn't this a good thing, SW? I ask you because I'm too lazy to create an IGN account.

If you can play all games on one system, instead of having to buy 3-4 systems, how is that not a good thing for you as a consumer? Having no exclusive would truly force hardware manufacturers to compete. They would have to compete on getting powerful hardware out at low cost in order to stay relevant, since they can no longer just release subpar hardware and lean on their exclusives.

Exclusives are only good for the console manufacturers, due to their exercise of market power. However, the actual practice is more anti-consumer than anything else.
