I am almost certain this is based on my nostalgia but what isn't?!

  1. PC from 2000-2010
  2. PS1
  3. Sega MegaDrive
  4. GameCube
  5. X360

Honestly I think that PC gaming is a shadow of what it use to be and consoles died to me once they took away local multiplayer as a focus... Its why I have almost entirely stopped gaming. Now and then I'd pop in here or watch a YouTube video but these games just aren't doing it for me anymore.

I got a Series S and Series X, bedroom and living room.

I am bloody impressed with the Series S, small and dead silent and for £250 where can you play Elden Ring at 45-60FPS 1080p?... Or Forza Horizon 5 at perfect 60FPS at 1080p?... I'll wait.

The Series S hooked up to my 55" CX in my bedroom makes my Switch look even more of a Joke to be perfectly honest.

Also that extra ram won't do much the biggest problem with that console is the GPU, its just not strong enough for anything above 1080p at 60FPS unless its a last generation looking game or a heavily optimised rare one game.

Also the difference between the Series S vs X in games like Forza and Elden ring on my 65" B9... Not really night and day to be honest, slightly sharper image but more or less the same unless you pause and do a side by side.

Biggest bottleneck of the Switch is storage space.

Games are 60-90GB now, and Storage is expensive... Unless this thing comes with a 500GB M.2 in it, its pretty much DOA when it comes to expecting modern day ports.

Also its going to be Low by the way, I already did the math when Turing and Ampere came out and 512-768 Cuda cores is all they will be able to pull of on a hand held with decent battery life that won't burn your hand when you touch it.

Can't escape physics and storage, Nintendo shot them selves in the foot.

All you will get is games on a Xbox One level of performance, meaning finally can play Doom above low than low at 20-30FPS at 720p... 900p/50-60FPS.

Honestly love my Switch for the games but its trash hardware and all handhelds are trash hardware because I play docked, I have no interest in playing on a 6" screen with poor ergonomic controls when I can have a full on controller and a 65" TV with a speaker setup.

I would rather they release a console like a Series S and let me Play Zelda at 1080p/60FPS with HDR and ATMOS, than another f***ing gimmick hand held.

The consoles are powerful enough for great games.

Even Series S is perfect for 1080p, just gives us games made for those consoles.

Red Dead Redemption still looks phenomenal to me so I don't need new hardware as long as frame rate is locked, just give me new games... New worlds to explore.

Forza Horizon 4 alone beats everything on that list for me and I don't even care about consoles, only thing the playstation has for me is the Demon Souls and Bloodborne franchise.

The franchise peaked at 2, 3 and 4 where both okay but not worth replaying.

Its similar to Borderlands, first is a concept and the second nails it and the rest is just worse.

It's just a revision neither console versions are bad or should have anyone worried. These SOC's and RAM modules can handle running at 60-70c for year's without issue.

As long as they don't throttle and the fans don't spin up the console is fine, just play the games and enjoy your lives people there are far worse things in life.

Yeah because a Switch OLED is compact?... Its a handheld right?... Like a phone.

Stop it!

Nintendo fans been trying to convince people that things is handheld not fooling anyone.

Well regardless of this being real or not I will be playing those games on my Steam Deck when it's out including GTA5.
