This video wasn't the best, but it's always nice remembering the importance of those games, how they changed RPGs and influenced a lot of games across many decades.
It makes me sad to think the series was downgraded to an iOS app. What else could we expect from EA? :(
New Vegas was a good game and I had my share of fun playing Fallout 3, despite the fact it's characters, story and writting were terrible. But the truth is both games aren't in the same level as Fallout and Fallout 2. Those games were real masterpieces and groundbreaking RPGs, especially the second one. I miss the tactical combat and the top-quality characters, dialogs and c&c from those games.
By the way, I can't wait to play Wasteland 2. I'm way way WAY more excited for the Wasteland sequel (which has plenty of similarities to older Fallout games) than a brand new Fallout 4 developed by Bethesda and designed (ruined) by Todd Derp Howard.
If the AI is like in Metro 2033 than I can't complain. Sometimes enemies did stupid things, but at least they did something and surprised the player, unlike most other FPS. I'd rather have a flawed AI than a "duck behind the crate and show your head every 5 secs" script.
I believe Wolfenstein: The New Order is going to be a slow-paced cinematic console shooter, with linear levels filled with scripted sequences and cutscenes, heath regeneration, dumb and slow enemies, 2 weapons limit, etc.
Rise of the Triad and Shadow Warrior are way more promising. Both games are in good hands.
