Another four games on PS4 again:

  1. Tales from the Borderlands
  2. Abzu
  3. Laser Disco Defenders
  4. Type: Rider

I'll definitely check out Tales from the Borderlands. Abzu's deep sea gameplay was on my radar as well.

@zanu_ra: It's a 4K Xbone.

It's more powerful than a half-arsed PS4 pro.

The Xbone Scorpio not out yet; The Scorpio 4K Xbone is due a full year after that pro machine, but the Xbone Scorpio will be more powerful no doubt releasing a year after.

No one is talking about Nintendo or PS products, only answering what the Scorpio is, no need to bring up other rivaling products on the Xbox board.

@deactivated-58e448665784c: PS3 was $600 and $500 USD, not $700.

Another month, another four new games for PS4 again. I'm interested mostly in David Jaffe's (of God of War and Twisted Metal fame) brand new game "Drawn to Death".

I know that Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is sitting at 82/100 metascore and was highly praised as a 2-player co-op micro-platformer. I already have that game on another platform though.

Curious about the other two playable PS+ PS4 games (10 Second and Curses):

  1. Drawn To Death
  2. Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
  3. 10 Second Ninja (crossbuy)
  4. Curses ‘n Chaos (crossbuy)

unless you want to count BotW.

Why wouldn't you count BotW?

Mostly because they came out simultaneously. They didn't complete the Wii U version, then port it over to the Switch. Both have been in development side by side for at least the last couple years. I'm not saying it's wrong to think of it as a port, I just don't see it that way.

The big N delayed the BotW Wii U version to help the Switch, much like they did with Twilight Princess on GC to Wii, except with that they actually delayed the previous GC Twilight Princess version (3 weeks released AFTER the Wii Version) to help sell Wii's in 2006. Luckily the GC did have Celda:WW as an exclusive prior to TP.

I had TP on Gamecube Reserved for nearly 3 years and remember that time frame well.

When launching a new console, it's critical (or at least beneficial) to have a killer app to move units, much like Mario64 did for the N64, which only launched with two games.

Remember, the Wii U never actually got it's own original exclusive Zelda (a peculiarity in studying Nintendo's history with their consoles) as BotW was going to be a Wii U exclusive, until Wii U sales numbers forced Nintendo's hand, and they then delayed the Wii U version and began crafting the Switch port.

@SolidTy: I was wondering, did you buy a Switch? Or will you wait till later this year for it?

I did buy a Switch (just to fiddle with it, as the Switch launch didn't do much for me). I'm also not the worlds biggest handheld fan, so for me the Switch will remain connected to the TV as long as possible.

I'm a sucker for new tech though, but I knew going in I could wait...but I think I'm selling my Switch to my cousin at a discount for him as he never got a Wii U and likes Zelda (which I have on Wii U), and I'll just wait for a Super Mario Odyssey Switch bundle due later this year (or just buy a Switch and Mario Odyssey game at that time).

Every hardcore gamer should buy a Switch. Even if you don't care about anything I wrote here you should still buy it. Why? Because of Zelda! It's the greatest game ever created and something no one should miss.

@Xplode_games: Zelda was made and released for the Nintendo Wii U, a Switch isn't required for that particular port.

I'm a hardcore gamer that bought a Wii U Day one and I'm more than happy to enjoy my Zelda on my Wii U.

The thread title and OP aren't very clear regarding news for this upcoming game for people that never heard of this niche title from a small developer. The tiny article linked makes some information more clear, but that information wasn't in the title or OP, provided people on mobiles want to click and wait on the link to load up.

That said, House is a great developer and their newest 2017 incoming arcadish title should be a blast.

Nex Machina is scheduled and was announced last year to be released in 2017 for the PlayStation 4 and now the latest is that Nex has been announced it's also coming to Steam.

Good news for fans of top-down twin-stick shoot 'em ups.
