Probably is. Although the score, in contrast, isn't as bad as many think it was the sheer idea that Zelda could do no wrong that made it all that more interesting.

I remember having a lil' conversation with someone here about how funny it'll be if Zelda flops the day before the review. I did think it was funny then... Boy was I wrong. :(

TP was close along with DMC4 for the 360. But nothing and I mean nothing can top the day when these boards were filled with "Massive damage" threads. So much that the mods were forced to make a sticky solely to keep it all in one place. It may not have made sence then but it does now.

I'd say Link has some advantage over Cloud. Diety mask aside Link has Bombchu's and Hookshots, let alone the other gadgets. Though Cloud has the elusive Omni-Slash and Knights of the round paired with multiply could destroy communism, let alone capitalism...

I see where you're comming from. It's a factor that could cause it but it'll have to be one hell of a depression in turnover.

I think it has to do more with demand than anything. Verge is right about over-saturation but even now the industry has a vast amount of genres and play types that can last for a 'bit'.
