The Wii is much more analog TV friendly. Without seeing the picture it's hard to say what the deal is. It could be just how your TV deals with 480P analog signals. It could be that you have a bad cable. It could also be that you don't have the cables hooked up correctly. Your TV is already scaling the image with it's video processor so I don't think you would be satisfied with a receiver doing it either unless you purchase a receiver with a really nice scaler chip. You might just have to deal with it if everything is hooked up properly.

Wow, this debate really jumped the shark a long time ago. Why are people still debating this?

I have 4 boxes of VHS Tapes lying around so no, I don't think it's odd. It actually looks quite handy. A smidge overpriced though.

Sounds like the problem is solved! Make sure the battery doesn't die :) Seriously though, you should ask a PC question in the PC hardware forum. You'll get more replies.

[QUOTE="cspiffo"]Why are you mixing speaker brands? That's one of the worst mistakes you can make. The Center Channel you chose is fine. Get yourself a complete klipsch set of speakers and the Onkyo 507.snowren24

I've been looking at upgrading my HT as well from a Sony HtiB. I think I found the receiver i want (Denon AVR-789 not that its important) i understand its importanat that the 5 speakers match now, but how important is it that the speakers match the sub? Is it important at all if the speakers match the receiver?

The Sub doesn't really need to match, but I still like to stick with the same brand and build quality as the other speakers I have.

@Jandurin

The speakers are the most important part of any setup. Even a cheap $150 5.1 Amp will sound good with good speakers attached to it. What is your actual budget for the system you wish to build. Maybe then we can help you a little better.

banana plugs aren't necessary for either receiver you choose. The bare wires will screw into the terminals just fine. Banana Plugs just make it simpler but at the cost of wire setup. You have to install banana plugs on each speaker wire. Have fun with your purchase, whatever you deciede. Once you here go down this path there is no return...mwahahahaha!!! :P
