@R4gn4r0k: Does Roblox count as a product to create games? I don't really know anything about it, but I often hear that Dreams could've been that, if Sony/MM would've made it more user friendly.

I bet robo-Mom could help with that.

I paid $70 something for Spear of Destiny, and $80 for MK2 on SNES in the 90s. Am I missing something with this "first $80 game" nonsense?

@mrbojangles25: Right. Haven't they made billions off the mtx? How much more do they need? If that extra money went into making other cool games, that would be something. But even then, that doesn't guarantee a good game. RDR2 had production through the roof, and the game was absolutely not fun.

Has consolidation like this ever yielded good results? Movies=bad, Games=bad, Food=bad.

Can we just have magazines back?(Gamepro or EGM) Spending this much time chasing gaming news is depressing.

@BassMan: Didn't they use to prattle on about what japanese philosophies were used to create their products? Like katana means desire for challenge, and squid-o is the love of tentacles, or some sh!t. At least then, they had some uniquely Japanese DNA in what they were doing. I don't who they are anymore.

@texasgoldrush: I've never played a total war game, but how would their mechanics work with 40k? Not saying they couldn't, but wouldn't a normal RTS like Dawn of War work better? Even though they screwed the last two.

Why don't they just make digital Warhammer already? You could have all the rule sets for the different editions. You could pull the scummy mtx route and charge $5 for a five man squad of Marines. And if they're afraid of losing physical model sales, put a voucher code for a digital version of whatever physical model you buy in the box.

Why would you expect anything different? Just wait, in three years you'll get the remaster too.

Would it being a phone work? I was saying the Vita should've been a phone before it released. They even had a slider prototype, and that was before phones are as big as they are now. If mobile gaming 🤮🤮🤮 is 50% of the market, and Sony only seems to be going for the money makers, this seems like something they should check out. Does the steam deck have access to the Google play and the Apple store? Is this what Microsoft is doing with their mobile store and handheld?

PSP failed because the games were so easy to pirate, right? And Vita failed because they charged so much for their proprietary sd cards. What reason will kill the system this time?

Normally I would feel hopeful about the situation, because Japanese companies seem to excel when their backs are against the wall. But as far as I know, Sony is doing well by doing exactly what I don't want. I've never been less hopeful to see what they're going to do next.

@last_lap: It's crazy that I've never really played C&C. I played Generals or something on my buddies computer once, but I've always wanted to see those fmvs on Red Alert. I miss when beating a game rewarded with a cool cutscene or art, and that was the only way to see it. Or when games had silly intros, like Goro smacking the Acclaim logo, or that Turok iguana with guns.

What are your top racing games? The last one I played was the first NFS Underground.
