Yeah but in mj case, he was a odd ball all around. Stuff he was sued for just added to the circus he was.
I've never met him, so there's nothing I know about him that isn't sources from either media or court, so I can't really say what kind of person he legitimately was. All I can say is that the stuff he was sued for had mountains of exculpatory evidence in his favor, and I think many of the plaintiffs have admitted it was about money. That's the society we live in. Suing people can be profitable. Suing people with money while they are in a sensitive position where such a lawsuit could be damaging to their lives and careers, even more so.
And to take it a step further, what happened after that? Even with the exculpatory evidence in his favor, and ZERO evidence against him, people still believed what they wanted to be true. This likely lead to him losing a number of advertising deals and sponsorships possibly totaling somewhere in the billions. Compare that to simply paying them a few million to piss off, and you'll see why this sort of stuff actually works. Under most circumstances, it is cheaper to pay people off, guilty or not.
Things become a bit different when politics is involved. If it's not hush money, it's some ideologue who wants them to lose an election, or somebody dug up by the opposition. Remember the Roy Moore stuff in the Alabama election a few years ago? The same media outlets that wanted him to lose never actually informed people there was piles of evidence AGAINST his accusers, or that he has since sued the super PAC responsible for millions of dollars, and won.
Ah victim blaming.
Had to cross out his lie filled rant. Remember, for extreme tribals like Eoten if it's someone from your party the sexual assault victim is always lying and wrong. For all 20+ allegations vs Trump. All of them fake because Trump is a Republican and nothing more.
Now he's defending Roy Moore, big fucking yikes. Not something one wants in their post history:
Wendy Miller has previously testified that she met Moore when she was 14 and working as a Santa's helper at the local mall. She testified Moore told her she was pretty, asked her where she went to high school and offered to buy her a soda. He asked her asked her out two years later, but her mother told her she could not go.
Part of the defamation is around the phrase "solicited for sex."
He still tried to date underage teens when he was in his 30s and was banned from a local mall
For someone who pretends to know so much about law he should know winning that one defamation suit and losing/throwing out the rest doesn't actually vindicate many of the accusations by the women. He failed to mention all of those.
He lost the election. He ran againin 2020, but lost the Republican primary. He also began filing lawsuits: against Leigh Corfman; against all the women who came forward, whom he accused of conspiracy; against Sacha Baron Cohen, who had Moore on his show “Who Is America?” and waved an imaginary device that he said could “detect a pedophile.” (On the show, the device goes off.)
A judge rejected the suit against Cohen, and a jury ruled against Moore in his suit against Corfman; the suit alleging conspiracy has been stalled, (Thanks for not mentioning these, EOTEN.)
Thomas, who is now in his eighties, testified that, in 2017, when reporters asked him about the alleged mall ban, he “wanted to stay out of it completely.” He also testified that, during a roughly six-week period in the late nineteen-seventies, when he was working security at the Gadsden Mall, he’d received around ten complaints about Roy Moore. “Mostly it was young girls, teen-age girls, saying that he was asking them out, maybe talking inappropriately,” he said. After “so many complaints,” he initiated a “very tactful” conversation with Moore, he said, telling Moore he was “going to have to kind of cool it.” Ultimately, Thomas recalled, “I just mentioned to him that we’ve had so many complaints that I’m going to have to ban him from the mall.” Thomas remembered Moore defending himself “a small amount, not a lot,” and then leaving. To Thomas’s knowledge, Moore did not come back to the mall for a while.
We know Moore is a huge creeper. Don't defend him lmao.

Lol. I always wonder when something like that happens why not sue right away.
Smear campaigns, defamation, slander, frivolous lawsuits, baseless accusations, corruption and fraud have become the faces of
Sounds like you're describing the GOP and going easy on them. Randomly saying all these women and girls are liars hasn't worked always worked out well for your freakish party:
