I was going to point out Power Automate.

I have something a bit more complex but not by much, you'll need to little bit learn it (or use chatGPT)

AutoIt Scripting Language - AutoIt

it works the same way as Power Automate but without the nice GUI menus.

What you're asking basically is it possible the higher resolution will demand more resources? - then yes it's true and logical that you get 150fps on 2K while only 100fps on 4K

I posted years ago about upgrading my gaming PC but still haven't done it.

When looking at a PC I see you could spend anywhere from $600 on the low end all the way up to $4,000. What's the sweet spot of upgrades? If you spend $2,000 are you getting a much better machine than for $1,500? How much better if you spend $2,500 or $3,000? My current PC has lasted me over 10 years, but I think it's time for an upgrade. If I'm not planning on 4k gaming what specs would you suggest is in the sweet spot?

My current specs:

Intel i7 2600k @3.4GHZ

RAM: 8GB

GPU: Geforce 1070

My monitor is about 27" Asus with a 1080p native resolution

Never upgrade or buy a PC that will last you over the warranty years, it could die and you just wasted money

3 years build is the the rig you want to buy to play with the settings and games you want to

some i5 13600K, 32Gb RAM and RTX3060Ti / RX6600 XT should do the trick

@sew333: no one will RMA your card for two in game crashes, if you've got normal temps during stress test and PC won't crash - it's fine by their standards.

@BassMan: Dude that card is massive, I don't know if it requires a raiser but I would definitely install one just for safety

Update BIOS if you haven't done before it's the core of the PC, then check on Windows updates and download latest Nvidia driver for your GPU from their site.

Do windows updates couple of times with restarts because it doesn't install everything in one go.

From what you say if you lower the graphics settings and you do not get any crashes can be one of the following causes:

A) At high graphics either your GPU or CPU are getting overheated

B) At high graphics your PSU fails to deliver enough power and can cause crashes for the whole system

But before jumping to conclusion I recommend to check if everything including BIOS is updated.
