I just buy them, put them in the backlog and never get the chance to play them.

Seems cool.
At least now it can shake off the Warhammer dweebs that seem to think Lore friendliness should take precedence over game balance.
Ooh does it have hardcore turn based jrpg combat?
Yeah, totally man!
Just have to do alot of annoying breeding and tolerate superficial annoyances just to get there
(I'm still getting the game lol)
Yeah. I think the game is excellent.
The positioning layer of the game is its strong point, where getting in a spot that gives you the right angle is key. It's also accessible for a score attack game. Where most games of its nature benefit from the players muscle memory of spawns, you can quickly jump into Nex Machina if you have a handle of the mechanics as there are enough clear visual and audio cues to play and do well on pure reaction/improvisation.
If there's any complaints I have with the game, it's that the bullet-hell moments dont really challenge how you have a dodge. They should have been designed in a way that mixes in having to decide to move or commit to use up that dodge. It would have provided a sense of enjoyable rhythm to get into as well if done right.
I also wish the level design did more to embrace more curved geometry, so that enemies just dont bundle up around a corner to wipe the waves so efficiently on some levels.
The Game Awards are next month.

Nice.
I'm sure everyone is looking forward to complaining and picking on the results of an award show.
Everyone.
If this was SW back in the day, the above post is a perfect example of how a several page long internet argument starts.
Had a PC since 1992. Reppin that 486.
Mostly had alot of the arcadey stuff from Epic and Apogee. But really enjoyed the sim and theme games.
