@jbumi: I used to think the same way about rechargeable batteries and roll my eyes, but I finally decided to give it a shot and bought some Eneloop batteries. On my old 360 pad they would work for weeks on a single charge, and charging was quick. When one set would finally starting giving out, I'd swap in a new pair and charge the two drained ones.
Honestly at this point I'd prefer to use my own double A's than keep plugging my PS4 pad to the console every other time I boot it up.
@bobafetthatesu: No one at Microsoft is forcing anyone to get these. It's just more choice for the consumer. If you want it, you can get it. Obviously Sony doesn't need to make one, and most people will be completely fine using the classic controller, but less choice has never been a better solution.
I actually have to agree with some comments about the format here. I didn't like the awkward, let's film these people having a conversation, way they did stuff over at 1UP and it's not any better here. At least have them sit down at a table and do it more off the cuff. Two guys just standing there with the cameraman swinging back and forth to an over the shoulder look is not the kind of treatment patch release notes really need. I do appreciate the discussion though and as someone that does play Destiny with friends it was informative.
