[QUOTE="JohnF111"]"The first five million are going to buy it (PS3), whatever it is, even [if] it didn't have games." That's just the worst... The indescribably arrogance, all of their PR guys were like this, whether they were told by even higher up people to say it or not it's just annoying to see a company so far up their own ass they think they can see the sun.carljohnson3456
I totally agree, but let's be honest here. The Sony of 2012 is ALOT more humble than the Sony of 2006. They've done a complete 180. Went from pushing everything BUT games when the PS3 launched and now are dropping exclusives left and right. Hell they're the only one doing right by their core audience these days if you ask me.

This is very true but I saw some of that old Sony in the hacking scandal last year.

I thought the Demo was Godawful... It's an interactive movie and clearly a childrens game for the 10 to 12 set.

What was worse I hit the a button instead of the y button at the end of the first chapter and the game still let me win.

So in reality ot seems the quick time events are not even accurate.

I can't imagine this type of game appealing to anyone but children. Surprised it isn't a Kinect only game.

Tikeio

Get the **** out of here you emo moron! Go back to complaining about Justin Beiber and listing to self loathing complaint rock.

Go grow some hair on your ass then maybe you can come back here and contribute something meaningful. This thread is for old school hardcore gamers. In other words, it goes way over your head.

"This thread is for old school hardcore gamers"

And yet it is about Nintendo games... kind of like a game about hardcore anime asking on which episode My Little Pony lost its edge.

I am pretty sure they abandoned Nintendo when the N64 came out in cartridge format... Nintendo has been a kiddy platform (primarily) for three generations now.

Not even close. Hardcore gamers were split with their support for both platforms. Defintely PS1 had more support but by no means was the N64 abandoned.

Nintendo has always been the kiddie system nothing wrong with that. I mean they took the blood out of the Mortal Combat port in the mid ninties for the love of God.

Lets face it outside of Goldeneye the N64 was a kids machine. When Nintendo finally tried some "adult" style games such as Conker's Bad Fur day it was still juvenile trash designed to appeal to the prepubescent crowd.

The Gamecube was also a kid centric machine with one or two notable exceptions (Resident Evil 4 comes to mind)

And the Wii speaks for itself.

I don't see this changing anytime soon.

Your confusing dumbing down with the industry trends as of the past few years. That being a cinematic interactive experience.

xOMGITSJASONx

Pushing the play button on my DVD does not make it an interactive experience. I have no problem with cinematics but I do require my videogames to actually contain engaging gameplay.

It was more like simon says. Demo was a disaster. It has been years since I have played a deo that was worse than that one.

WarTornRuston

For me it was minutes cause I had just played the Amy demo and gotten permantly stuck in scenery. :D
