My old iiyama Prolite E2607WS is finally kaput & i need a new monitor asap.. I'm pretty clueless to be quite honest and have taken a break from the shop. I'm looking for something around 2560 x 1440 res, low response time, not really bothered about any built-in speakers (but if they are any good!) & any extra bells and whistles incl.. problem is I've no more than around £300 to spend and would be extremely grateful for any advice here at all.. thanks for listening!

Many thanks to folk for replying so quickly..

If this is any use to people, my mainboard is a Micro-Star International H310-F PRO 9 (MS-7B25)

A Samsung 970 NVME Evo has been suggested by someone else also, would one of these be compatible with my mb too pyro?

My old mechanical D has recently died and I'm currently relying on an almost full 250gb C SSD for all gaming pleasures & everything else.. I'm looking for a new SSD largest/quickest/most durable in the £200 - 250 price range (preferably as cheap as possible) but haven't much of a clue, any advice/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt It'll come as much of a surprise to learn that the game in question is Red Dead Redemption II.. I wouldn't mind saving a few quid if it's doable/relatively hassle free as it's $59.99 (£46.26) on the Usa PS4 store & £59.99 here in the UK for the same version of the game.

Can someone give me a heads up or point me somewhere.. thanks.

I'm new to the world of 4K displays but after recently being offered a brand new Samsung UE55NU7100 by a work colleague for significantly less than all the prices I've seen/reading reviews have just bought.. £400 (family member won in raffle apparently)

Does anyone here have one, are they any good? I've been told they are OK for their media playback but their gaming performance is great.. I'll be using with a PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Switch, Shield TV & streaming from my PC/Steam.

I'd really appreciate the thoughts of those that have any hands on experience of this screen as I've just paid but still have a few days to get my money back if I'm not happy.

Any owners here?

I like the look of this certainly for the emulation possibilities & the price seems pretty reasonable too.. what do folk here think?

@KBFloYd

Yeah, I was pretty sure that all my Eshop purchases were supposed to be defaulting to my installed microSD & I presumed that's where they'd all be installing, but for some reason they did not (Amazon assures me my 256GB micro SD is no fake) so far my re-downloads seem to be going OK and are installing where they should have initially but time will tell I guess.

Apologies people, I'd not been paying attention.. seems like all my Eshop purchases had been installing on my Switch's system memory & not the micro 256 card I'm using with it for whatever reason & all system memory was almost gone as a result. Bit of a pain in the posterior but am currently archiving/re-downloading my library and so far all seems well and everything has installed on the card without issue.

Am I understanding this right, Eshop game save data has to be created on the Switch's System Memory & can't be done or transferred to the microSD card in my Switch? I'm being told almost every time I first launch a new Eshop game I've bought lately that I have to archive software (none of which I wish to) in order to create the save data.. Is there nothing that can be done or are you limited to the amount of Eshop purchases you can have installed at any one time?

I'd greatly appreciate any input.

I realize that probably sounds (is!) bonkers.. but it dawned on me recently that I do this all the time.

Usually for the music/ambient sounds but not always sometimes for the level/creature design or architecture.

I'm currently replaying Freedom Fighters which I can take or leave the gameplay of but the glorious Jespyr Kyd music sounds just as great to me as it did in 2003.

'Vangelis on steroids' ..adore it so much, I bought the game soundtrack!

I'd love to hear of the reasons other folk here revisit stuff.
