As a former cow I'm really not liking Sony this gen. Lack of exclusives, arrogance in increasing prices without merit on plus and games, bet on live service, etc etc.

Add that to the fact they decided going multiplatform thus destroying their brand and this was the last time I'll ever buy a PS console. I'm going full PC and play legacy consoles for my future. No interest in the PS6 if they keep going the route thy're going

Well, firstly, this generation SOny isn't releasing anything at all. Secondly, when every title run and looks better, while also having free online and access to mods, it makes the ps5 copy beyond worthless.

So why prop up the corporation raking us for online fees and less than feature rich offerings? Nobody owes these companies anything and Sony stands to gain millions of potential customers that otherwise wouldn't bother with their inferior product.

They make very little off hardware.... Their sales of hardware is positioned for only one factor, ownership of marketshare over their competitors. While this is a well established business model and establishes "industry leaders" it does nothing for gamers themselves and so I won't root for it. It's a business tactic. I'm not gonna bark up sonys tree telling them what to do with marketshare, but I'm not buying a PS5. It's been a lousy generation for them and tieing myself to their pay to play online service is not something I want to be a part of.

I would however give them my money for some of their better games! I'd be happy to offset their large, crippling gaming budgets when they release a great game.

only 3 years. look up ps3 and ps4 first 3 years.

The Kinect launched on the 360. That's a fact. The Kinect XB1 version didn't kill the XB1, it didn't help but the online checks, killing off selling/lending physical games Mattrick is what doomed the XB1.

Cross gen games began development years before the PS5 was even released, so no, they don't count.

I think he's referring to the massive drop in quality from games created by Sega when they were a platform holder. Sega was among the best publishers in the industry at the time only rivaled by Nintendo and Capcom. When they went third party there was a massive drop off. I would expect Sony to have a similar fall off if they abandon their platform.

This may sound weird but the drop in quality can be related to finances.🤷🏽‍♂️

They don't have dev kits for 4+ years. You release a new system to release titles that weren't possible on the previous generation. Where are those games?

Well if sony goes full third party and stops making playstation im sure its because of finances.

Guerilla games had there dev kits first. they knew it was going to be on ps5. why it looked so good. then insomniac why the had miles ready for launch and ratchet and clank.

SPiderman2 is just Spiderman MM. Returnal is an indie game. Demon's Souls yes, one of the very few games. Horizon call of the mountain is garbage, gt7 might as well be on a ps4. Third party is third party, no need to mention those because the system has no first party. This is not the Xbox with its low standards.
