What are your latest gaming purchases?

Dead Space remake. I should of waited a week extra and got Yakuza instead considering I already beat the original Dead Space many times.

A PS1 off brand lightgun to use on my Mister using my snac adapter. I already owned a guncon 1 but now I can play 2 player lightgun games.

My latest pick up is Scars Above on Steam as it's discounted (at the time of writing this as the game just released) now so took advantage of that as its supposed to be Returnal knockoff from what I'm hearing and getting good reviews on Steam.

@mesome713: Paying $40 for a game and waiting 20 years for it to be worth a couple hundred bucks isn't a great investment strategy. Which is what MOST sealed games that are 20 years old actually sell for.

Now you might get lucky and it be worth like $2000, but that's still not a great investment.

Going through a phase of trying to get rid of stuff instead of purchase more lol. I've sold a lot of games. Just trying to keep physical copies of the ones I will regularly play.

I will probably buy Metroid Prime Remastered at some point this year. RE4, Zelda, and Hollow Knight Silksong are all definite purchases. Everything else I'm interested in (Hogwarts, Jedi Fallen Survivor, Starfield) I'm gonna likely hold off for a long time until I can get the digitally for quite cheap.

Finally got the physical copy of Metroid Prime Remastered today! And I was delighted to see that the complete game is on the cartridge, no downloads 😎

I can’t paddle properly in it but I still enjoy it. I must be doing something wrong, I think they should have called it Kayak Simulator VR Mirage.

I have only played an hour of Cities VR. I liked it and I’m glad I bought.

Picked up Wild Arms 2 and Legend of Dragoon on PS5. Great stuff!

@strategyfn: Yeah it's a little weird to paddle. I've only paddled a bit so far. Mostly just casually strolling. I doubt I'll do the races. It's a cool tech demo though.

I think I figured it out a little more, you basically have to do the front stroke swim with the duel senses. I have a tough time turning to the left, but chopping the water with your right controller helps a little bit. I tried to paddle like a canoe, at first, and I didn’t do to well.

Played another 1.5 hours of Cities VR and it’s pretty good.

Probably gonna buy Metroid Prime Remastered, since the physical version is coming out today. The gaming industry stopped releasing good new AAA games, so I might as well get an old one.

Just picked up the official ps5 controller dock a bit surprised it has it's own plug socket thought it would be usb.

Just picked up a physical copy of Metroid Prime Remastered today! Already played through it digitally, but no way I was passing up a physical copy of one of the best games ever made.

Bottom one is the stick swap, it's really easy to replace with Xbox One or Xbox Series sticks, to make a great controller even better.

Definitely got that Gamecube feeling again, love it!

Bought a MSI SUPRIM X RTX 4090 two Sundays ago temporarily using it with my old I7 5820k OC 4.5GHZ 6c/12t still a good cpu. Planning on upgrading to a 7800X3D in April.

Bought two Western Digital SN850X 2TB NVME ssd 7,300MB/s reads. Planning on running them in Raid 0 hoping for 14,000MB/s reads.

Upgrading my internet download speed from 50MB/s to 300MB/s this Wednesday. Old plan was 65$ a month new plan is 50$ a month same internet provider.

I can't really remember. I played Dead Space on EA Play. I'm saving right now for a Steam Deck for my vacation. Travelling alone, so gonna use it on the plane and before bed.

I bought Hogwarts Legacy. I may not play it for a year or two, 'cause I have a lot of other stuff I need to play. Besides, I didn't buy it to play it -- I bought it to make a statement. I bought it just to get under the skin of the crazy trans activists. Their desire to silence dissenting opinions is totally disgusting, not mention their bullying towards J.K. Rowling. It'll be a cold day in Hell before I let a bunch of carnal activists dictate what can and can't be published.

I received the 3070 today. Its in the box, which i still haven't opened. Saw the 6800 for an awesome price a few days ago, and grabbed it as well, so that will be delivered in a month plus from now. Yes, i have two gpu's now, i feel powerful.

Will test both, see which one i prefer, and sell the other at a profit.

congratz man, I don't know AMD hardware, but the 3070 will easily plow through 1440p games and will even do 4K in some cases: that being well optimized games and older games.

Also I use DLSS 2 all the time, it's fantastic.

@Macutchi: It's a pretty cool game with poor writing. Which doesn't make it that different from many loved games. It's just a shame that you have to play as such a terrible main character.
