What Gamespot Users have to say about Ryse: Son of Rome

  • Rating:8

Both more and less than what you may have heard

Ryse is a very polished game that I enjoyed. It's origin as a Kinect game shows through as the gameplay and difficulty appear to be tuned for the casual crowd. Gamers who have thrived on the difficulty of Demon/Dark Soul... Read Full Review

    Amazing graphics, entertaining

This game has an entertaining storyline, great graphics, definitely worth checking out. Gameplay is somewhat repetitive, but does not warrant a score of 4/10!!! It is irresponsible from Gamespot to allow reviews like th... Read Full Review

    Fight For Rome

Ryse: Son of Rome is one of the most polarizing games of both the Xbox One and PS4 launch games. Some people hate it, some people love it. I fall into the latter. Ryse is not perfect. It is not a game that you must drop... Read Full Review

Don't expect treasure chests, exploration, cars, rocket launchers or helicopters...

This game is called 'Ryse' not 'Assassins Creed 5' or 'Skyrim 2', as beautiful as the world is, you'll have to stay on the path and fight. Marius is not on a treasure hunt or off to sniff flowers in the meadows, he's the... Read Full Review

This is by far the worst review gamespot has done

The game does seem redundant but he story is awesome and the action is great. I beat the game and if it wasn't for other games i wanted to play like grand theft auto 5 and battlefield 4 I would still be playing it right ... Read Full Review

    Not a 4

I enjoyed this game. Yes the combat is repetitive, but in this type of game that is to be expected. The gory finishers never got old for me. Game has gorgeous graphics and a interesting story. The co-op gladiator mode is... Read Full Review

    MUCH Better Than Gamespot Suggests

Ok.... I just finished Ryse. I haven't the slightest idea of where that review score came from. Anybody that likes action brawlers, like God of War, will like this game. Not only is it gorgeous and controls flawlessly, ... Read Full Review
