I haven't played GoW or RDR2 myself, though Celeste was definitely an amazing game, so it'd be dope to see it win.

Best: FFVII

Worst: oh what I played, FFXV easily; it's the only FF game I didn't even bother to finish. The real worst FF is probably All the Bravest though, from what I've heard about it.

I love how when Sony decides not to have an E3 Press Conference, they have "nothing to show", yet when Nintendo decides not to have one, they are "pioneers" who are wise in using new mediums to get out information about their games. Nothing but an hot air by their apologists to excuse their continual pathetic, anemic line-up of the same games we've been seeing for decades with new coats of paint.

What Sony is doing doesn't seem to be the same as what Nintendo has been doing recently. While Nintendo has ditched having fancy presentations, they still have Nintendo directs and stuff on the show floor. From what I'm hearing Sony is just not doing anything...at all. Nintendo still definitely has a presence during E3 and stuff to show. Not that I entirely believe in the idea that Sony has"nothing to show," but still, Sony is doing even less than Nintendo usually does at E3 from what it seems like. Also Microsoft fans have also been spewing the "LOL SONY HAS NOTHING TO SHOW" idea, so it doesn't exactly seem fair to target the Nintendo fanbase specifically here...

Also, there has been plenty of new games created by Nintendo and their first party studiosoutside their usual stuff in the past decade. Off the top of my head as well as with a little bit of research, there's Pushmo, boxboy, Codename S.T.E.A.M, Splatoon, ARMS, Xenoblade, Sushi Strikers, Ever Oasis, Tomodachi Life, Picross, Dragalia Lost, Steel Diver, Nintendo Land, and perhaps more I'm forgetting or missing (I'd put the Dillon Rolling Western series on the list, though I don;t kow how tightly Vaanrose is associated with Nintendo). All of these have been met with different levels of success or acclaim, and some of these might not exactly appeal to you, me or certain others, but they're there and show Nintendo attempting to branch out from the usual stuff. Then of course there have been Nintendo showing some attention to some of lesser used IPs, with stuff like Kid Icarus Uprising, DKC being brought back and out of spin-off hell with Returns and Tropical Freeze, Punch Out Wii, Them reviving Fire Emblem with Awakening, Them showing love to Metroid again with both Metroid: Samus Returns and Prime 4. Pikmin series, Chibi Robo, and more I could be forgetting.

Even saying the "same old games" are "pathetic" is being unfair, and some of these games have gotten alot more than just a "fresh coat of paint." breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey did stuff sunstancially differently from previous entries in their franchises, and were both good games to boot (though admittedly I wasn't as super crazy for BotW as others were, but I still enjoyed it). The amount of effort being put into Smash Brothers Ultimate is insane, espeecially considering it wasn't THAT long ago we got Smash 4.

I mean, I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see Nintendo push even further for new IPs and such, and admittedly we haven't seen that much new on the Switch yet aside from ARMs (and 1-2 Switch, but f*** that game lol). BUt to say they've just been sticking with the same old games for the past decade is exaggerating.

Kind of surprised Wild Arms is one of the games. I probably shouldn't be, but either way, it's cool to see it on the PS1 classic.

Wonder if we will see Crash or Spyro at all.

A shame these things never seem to have Castlevania Bloodlines or Contra Hard Corps, since those are the two Genesis games I have most interest in.

Ps4 has mostly multiplatform games and so does Switch.

Hum, sorry, but no it doesnt...

Most high profile multiplats still dont get a switch release and the ones that do usually tend to be relatively old like DOOM and Warframe.

To the rest of your reply:

Again, your personal opinion on the games is irrelevant. The only quantifiable fact, and to the point being debated here, is that PS4 has more potential "system seller" franchises coming up than the Switch has. The PS4 already saw two spikes in sales this year with GoW and now Spider-Man while we didnt see any major spike in Switch sales when Octopath Traveler released. Just because you prefer game X doesnt mean it'll drive console sales more than game Y. So, again, to the person I replied to, I see no reason why PS4 owners would "fear" the switch line up coming up, outside of Pokemon that is. But I guess we'll see

Pokemon and Smash are system seller games.

I mentioned Pokemon

and yes Smash would be a System seller IF it was a new one but since is just a better version of the WiiU version I dont see it having that much of an impact. MK8 Deluxe didnt drove that many sales. But ok, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is in no way comparable to Mario Kart Deluxe 8. Have you been watching any of the Smash Ultimate directs? Do you actually know anything about Smash 4? Ultimate has been adding in a crazy amount of content and has shown off different modes, features, characters, redesigns, etc.

Smash Ultimate is definitely a whole different game, not just some port or remaster.

Not to mention we STILL have more content that hasn't been shown off yet.

Ugh, right, that game. I couldn't get into the game. It's been so long since I last played it but it was definitely more frustrating than fun from what I remember.

How was everyone else's reaction to Isabelle in Smash?

I'm not against her being in Smash and she certainly is a great fit with how big Animal Crossing has become and how she's the mascot. That said I kinda wish she was an echo character.

@DJ-Lafleur: I never understood why. Cloud, after all, is the most recognized FF character. Since Smash celebrates Nintendo's history of gaming, Final Fantasy was one of the RPG's that first came to the NES. What other FF do people know outside of Cloud? Cecil?

They could have used some generic black mage character for something that has a closer tie to Nintendo.

But personally, I was glad with Cloud's inclusion since he really is the most iconic character for the franchise (that and I love FFVII).

It's awesome as hell. I kinda want to get all of them. Even FFXII. Despite not liking the original FFXII, I hear Zodiac Ages really improves the game and I'd be curious to check it out.
