tried a few hours of hellblade 2. so far it's been -
a lot of walking.
a little bit of combat, which is either duck, duck, attack, or duck, duck, duck, attack.
and then solving puzzles to proceed, which seems to be here's a shape - now wander around and match parts of that shape with things in the environment.
it's incredibly pretty, but when your movement is so tightly constrained and the gameplay so simplistic, the aesthetics are hard to get too excited about
@uninspiredcup: know what you mean. but so far it seems better than fallen order. like the formula has "grown up." it's more gritty, better environments, better story telling, bigger set pieces, decent arsenal of powers from the off. worth paying a £1 for pc gamepass ultimate for a month to try it out
wtf is going on at google. lurching from one pr disaster to another.
investing in ai and ml for years but beaten to market by open ai. rushed out bard which may as well have been a "wrong answers only" chat bot and wiped $100 billion off google's market value.
then their v2 gemini which went out of its way to disacknowledge white people. everyone was either black, asian or female - nazis, vikings, america's founding fathers, popes etc lol.
now they've shoehorned ai into search which looks to have been mainly trained by reddit and the onion data and it's another shambles.
problem is this is the longer term consequences of this. if they actually get it right, it means they drastically reduce the need to click on articles to get answers, removing incentives for people to write content on ad supported sites. seo potentially becomes an irrelevance.
