Another thing you should know is that when you output games on the PSP Slim, it doesn't fill up the whole screen. It seems like it just outputs at the native resolution of the PSP. This means it will be framed by a big phat black area within your TV screen. We found this out when we had it on OTS on the 8/30/07 show (skip forward to 9:56ish to see what it looks like). As Jeff said on that show, this is "unfortunate". Movies on the other hand, do scale up to a full 480p on component cables.
I preordered mine at Amazon about a month ago when it was listed as being scheduled for release on Sept 10th. I even got next day shipping so the estimated delivery date was said 11th, right in time for my trip. That is, until tonight when I saw they had updated the release date to 9/24. It said it was supposed to ship on the 11th like an hour ago when I checked! Thanks a lot Amazon.
