Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I really hate what Gamespot is doing. I just cancelled my Total Access subscription the instant after I noticed the first "This forum is now read-only" message so that's real money they just lost. I'll probably keep hanging around if they maintain read-only access but if that goes away too then I'll probably start spending more time on GF.

No, not really. I read that as well. It seems like maybe this is less of a big deal than it sounds. It looks like GS just added their own boards but left all the GF functionality in place.
You know, I'm kind of confused. I can still access all the GF boards from here and I can still post to them so I'm not really sure what changed.
I don't understand this obession with not getting moderated. Why don't you just not say things that might get you moderated? I've been a member for 10 years and got moderated once (and for something I didn't realize was prohibited).
I'm not sure I feel happy about this although it looks like we'll still have some access to GF boards. I vastly prefer GS as a website as a whole and the forum functionality at GF really sucks and is so out-of-date. But I found that most of the community who participates in the boards were users from GF and I would be sad to see them go.
I'll join in and say I've been having this problem too and for a lot longer than 2 weeks. I've had a couple of times of absolute fury at this website because I spend a bunch of time typing a post and then it gets lost when I hit submit. I've started getting into the habit and copying the contents first.
Regular quote and reply work just fine. Using Firefox 5, if I quick quote/reply and then hit either Submit or Preview I'm taking to a completely empty, white page and my post is lost. If I do the same thing with Internet Explorer 9, at least with Preview, I don't get an empty white page but I get the standard reply page and again my post contents are completely thrown away (the edit box is empty...doesn't even have the text to quote in it).
Hmmm, I see the forums fine and even clicking on random threads seem to work.Dracula68
I also tried on my computer at work with the same results. I didn't mention before but I'm getting the "Oops. Something went wrong" page. Clicking the most recent thread from my favorite forums list also gives me the error.
I also just realized that the problem extends beyond the forums. If I search for Baldur's Gate II from the main search and attempt to visit the Game's main page, I also get the "Oops" page.
I'm a little unclear by the status for this since specific requests seem to be getting fixed but I'm not sure if you want us to point out specific problems. I have a couple of game specific boards (not all) that are not working for me:
Baldur's Gate II (http://www.gamespot.com/baldurs-gate-ii-shadows-of-amn/forum/platform/pc)
Anachronox (http://www.gamespot.com/anachronox/forum/platform/pc)
Thief: Deadly Shadows (http://www.gamespot.com/thief-the-dark-project/forum/platform/pc)
The interesting thing is that if I log out, I can access those boards without any trouble. I did try clearing my caches and I also tried a different browser with no differences.
I'm feeling a little pissed off by this thread. JodyR started it 6 months ago and a number of us even got private messages inviting us to join in the discussion because Gamespot cared about our thoughts and wanted to let us know they heard us. So I got excited and jumped in and we haven't heard anything from the admins about this in those 6 months. I've been unhappy that Gamespot hasn't listened to us up to this point but what features they want to implement is up to them. But to tell us they care and get a discussion going again and then leave us hanging again feels like a slap in the face.
