Got the original disc and the expansion disc, as well as the full edition (not the Definitive Edition, the one before that released) on Steam. That said, I burned myself out on this game COMPLETELY in middle school, as attempts to replay it in 2017-18 proved, so I will probably never touch any version of this again.

Got the disc version (of the original, never got the expansions on disc), and TWO digital versions: the original Complete Collection, and the Definitive Edition that came out a while after I bought the CC. Replaying this again at the moment (mid-2022), and I'm really digging it! Got a bit better with age, I suppose...really wish they could've fixed that music bug I experienced in the other two versions. Weird it's still happening...unless it's just a feature?! If so, why?!

Steam version. Wish I could sell this crap, but my friends convinced me to buy it off-Steam. Maybe I could refund it there, but we played too long and this was a while ago now (I thought they'd want to play again but sure enough, nothing since then)

I'll probably sell this soon...though I dunno. A YouTuber I follow recently said it's one of the best RPGs he's played, and I have been feeling a desire to play it again...but there's so much junk to go through if I do...

Got the discs, which do not work on modern PCs. Recently replayed it (early 2022), however, using an emulated package prepared by the truly excellent human being who runs the Collection Chamber, an invaluable resource for preserving old games. Thank heavens for people like him.

I want nothing to do with this game. Really want to sell it, though with the updated version being available digitally...although, I hear it's flawed, so maybe there's interest in the OG PSX version...ugh never mind, there are a LOT of copies on eBay...

Disc and digital versions. I was originally okay sticking with the disc versions, but as I've laid out elsewhere. the old PC started acting up, so I got the digital versions just in case. Problem is, the newer PC doesn't run it as well as the old one (though it *does* work), so I ended up playing (and, in late 2022, finally beating) Mercenaries and crossing my fingers that nothing goes wrong. I now have a funny craving to play the base game again, though I hope I can do so comfortably on the older PC (or just figure out something with the new one) when I get around to it...

Disc version and Steam version. I was perfectly happy playing the physical copy on my older PC, which has the disc drive, in the summer of 2022...but then my computer crashed so hard it had to restart the last time I played it, so...Steam version it is. Sigh. While I enjoyed this game the first time I played it in 2008 or so, it's not exactly one I was keen to buy a second time. Dammit...

PSX version. Doubt I'll ever touch it again. Saw an LP of it, and came to the conclusion that I would've been way more up for it as a kid. Now? Forget it. Probably nothing I can really do with this hard copy...

Bought the original weird-looking Steam version to make amends for pirating it back in the day, and then bought the Pixel Remaster! Might actually replay this at some point; FFV is one of my favorites after all. So far, got the remaster installed so I can hear the re-arranged music, which is *fantastic*. Some tracks are a bit better on the SF version, though...

Steam version, followed by the Pixel Remaster, also bought to make up for so many years of playing this illegally. I don't think I'll ever play this again, though. I recently saw an LP of the PR and...yeah, I'm done. It was nice seeing it in action, but...there is no going back.

PC Version. Might be able to sell this...is what I wrote maybe five, possibly even ten years ago. No way is that even remotely possible now. Kind of wish I could. Maybe someone will take it off my hands for a dime on ebay. Shipping would cost too much to make it worth it, but at least it'll be gone from my house. That's assuming anyone would want it given that's it's fully available on Steam.

PS2 version. Even if I wanted to, would probably never be able to sell this. Too many copies of this out there. Don't think I'd ever want to replay it either. If I did, I'd just play the Steam version...it has stuff I didn't see in the NTSC version, but a lot of that is just semi-optional bosses that are apparently SUPER hard, so...

Should sell this. As my 360 is probably bricked from sitting unplayed in our dusty garage for about a decade now, can't play it, nor can I sell it and the console as MK9 is on Steam and largely ignored in favor of the newer entries in the series. Ugh, I dunno...oh it was removed from digital storefronts! They really shouldn't mess around with licensed guest characters...but then Kratos was only on the PS3 version and Freddy Krueger was DLC...why not just sell the base/360 edition or another edition with all the characters except those two? Who knows...Probably don't want to detract from potential sales of the newer games...

Three versions: the original four-disc release, the single-disc DVD-rom version that came with Myst IV's physical release, and the Steam version. Wasn't originally planning on getting it digitally, but then my older PC started acting up. Tried it on the new PC, but I hate how it's not as full-screen as it is on my other PC. In the end, replayed and beat it on my old PC, thankfully only experiencing one crash while I playing it...

Disc and digital versions..Annoyingly, when the older of my two PCs started acting up, my dumb ass freaked out and bought the digital version too long before realizing I can play this (and other games) on my newer PC via an external disc drive [the older PC has a disc drive], which I have since bought. This game's pretty solid, so I don't regret buying this one again as much as some other ones I bought alongside it...

Disc and digital versions. Didn't really want to buy it again, as it's *really* bleak and not my favorite of the series, but once again, the older PC might not be able to run it even if it seems to have recovered from its crashing phase...nope, still having issues. Meh. Newer PC it is...

Disc and digital versions. Never properly played this, but as I'm replaying the Myst series at the moment (2022), I'll probably do that soon. Looking like it'll have to be on the newer PC...

At least three times, depending on how one counts getting the various endings, especially as that's pretty much done by reloading from various save spots. Beat it again recently (early 2022) and I'm satisfied enough to not want to do anymore playthroughs. They recently announced a remake is in the works...no idea if I'll play it.

Not sure if I'll ever play this; I was so won over by this game from an LP I watched, that I bought it, if not just to support the creators (which I have a feeling I effectively ended up doing for Undertale and Shovel Knight). What a beautiful, innovative, fantastic game.

No idea what to do with this. If I can, I should probably sell it, if that's possible. Even if I hadn't gotten everything in my last playthrough (was that 2010? My god), I'm too old to really enjoy it anymore...

360 version. Unlikely to ever play this again, but there's no way anyone will buy this as a hard copy, since it's available on Steam, Ultra edition at that. I'm worried about the fully digital age, but this is certainly a downside to the physical one...

SNES version, and obviously "Alpha" and not "Zero" as it's NTSC. No real desire to play this as I have the Anthology versions, and to play it without the goofy load times would require me to play a patched rom, so what's the point? Also put this on my wall.
Dec. 20, 1996

Alpha, not Zero, on DC, and also on the Anthology for PS2. I find it easier to play on DC than PS2, as my hands seem more comfortable with that controller. That is VERY MUCH a minority opinion.

Also bought this after being thoroughly charmed by what I saw watching an LP of it. More likely to play this one than others I bought just to support the developers, but I'm not sure when that would be...I also didn't know about the "liminal spaces" thing going around social media, so I might want to revisit it with that in mind...

The super old CD version for PC that cannot POSSIBLY work on modern systems. Hilariously, it itself is the updated "Turbo!" edition. This was completely replaced by Pegasus Prime, but I kind of miss stuff about this version, as PP is a COMPLETE overhaul. Can't play it on anything now though...unless I learn how to rip it and play it on DOSBox or something. That's WAY too much work for a game like this.
