@Jacanuk @Kevin-V @carolynmichelle @RC-Sev I felt the first episode of the first season worked better on its own terms and as a setup of things to come than this episode does. I outline the reasons why in my review. You're free to disagree, of course, but this was simply my honest take, as someone who has enjoyed the series and understands perfectly well the purpose of this episode to set up things down the road.
