@Mevrick I disagree. I think that each game needs to be evaluated on its own terms. The standards that apply to one game or genre may not apply to another. A failing in one game or genre may not constitute much of a failing in another game or genre.
@mjorh The ways I already stated. For me, the locales, the rapid pacing and setpiece moments made each entry in the MW game totally worthwhile and exciting. Your experience was that MW3 can't be distinguished from MW2 or MW1. That's legitimate and valid, as your experience. It wasn't my experience at all.
@Mevrick I've never reviewed a Call of Duty game, but I did play and enjoy all three of the Modern Warfare games, in which I felt that the globe-hopping stories and the setpiece moments and varied situations kept the action lively despite a consistency of mechanics. But I understand the argument you're making.
