This does Game Pass every favor in the book as Sony has no real response or way to afford how Microsoft does it with insane Day 1 releases. As Sony recommends the industry to keep raising its prices on games; this also enhances the value of Game Pass and proves that you no longer need system sales to win a war.
I'm saving so much money on gaming from Game Pass that I have NO desire at all to ever return to the PS ecosystem and won't buy one just to get FFVII six months early.
As far as preservation goes; I do see this as a problem, but games have been quite disposable for the past two generations with full-priced games going from full price to pennies on eBay. I'll preserve my old school game collection and stick to game pass for newer titles.
I'm at the point where I own hundreds upon hundreds of physical games; mostly old school titles as they had lasting value and appeal. Games have been rather "disposable" for the past decade so no; I don't care if I own games that have no value to begin with physically.
The online response has been "well we will just make them as high priced as possible." That's where Microsoft's ecosystem comes into play. It's a much better deal than Sony's.
Seems like Part 3 will need to cover a lot of ground. Cid Highwind is the character I'm worried about them screwing the most; especially if they don't fulfill his backstory.
@mogan: I'm sure Hotwheels will make a lot of money too; especially if they put Margot Robbie. This is the same website that rated Rings of Power high. Keep that in mind.
@mogan: Go study the ABK deal for a day and come back and tell me Sony is an honest company. They are easily the biggest liars of the big three and will always sock puppet their way to victory.
@hardwenzen: For what actually giving people a coop experience that looks incredibly fun? As usual, your posts say a lot without actually saying anything, but I'm sure you're right people hate on games that are actually games and not dumb cinematic experiences like the bs you play.
@chrishayner: Your comment didn't age well, did it? Since he has left interest in the AEW company has halted, ratings have dropped and now he's in WWE like I predicted. AND guess what? It sure didn't seem like a "terrible idea" huh?
Why? Because he pops ratings, moves merchandise and sells toys. Last month CM Punk was the biggest merch mover in both companies and Survivor Series reaction was comparable to Michael Jordan coming back to the Bulls in Chicago.
