I like having both Microsoft and Sony screwing me at once. With all joke aside, Microsoft is a business as with all developers and corporations and they too like everyone else just want to maximum their revenue.
Wasn't the Wii suppose to be a Revolution to gaming? The Wii-mote was said to be far superior to Keyboard and Mouse for aiming at FPS. Yet in reality the only good it did was making people's arm hurt from swinging like a dumb dumb.
Anonymous source eh? For all we know that anonymous source of Wii-U being more powerful than the PlayStation 3 could be secretly confirm by you. I do believe though that the Wii-U has a chance being more powerful than the PlayStation 3 but not the Xbox 360.

Judging from what I saw on E3, it looks far worse than anything out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Pathetic product showcasing for Nintendo's part. From the start, the PS4/XBox 8 will produce graphics far ahead of their predecessors of this generation so why can't Nintendo? When the PS2 debuted its graphical showcasing immediately outclass the PS2, so did Nintendo GameCube with the Nintendo 64, PS3 with the PS2 and so on. The Wii and the WiiU are the first systems in history that people need to pull out the "it takes time for the graphics to improve" arguement. This conversation alone by bringing up uncertainty about Wii-U graphic ability should automatically raise a Red Flag for Nintendo's upcoming console in terms of its power.

With Xbox 360, you're getting the biggest gaming library for high budgeted games. Many developers create games that are found on PC (Microsoft Windows) and Xbox but don't bother porting the game to PlayStation 3. PlayStation 3 misses out on quite a bit of game sharing between the PC (Microsoft Windows) and the Xbox 360. The PC also misses out on game sharing between the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The sheer amount of game is unbeatable in Microsoft's Xbox 360 library and the quantity is only growing. Developers always make sure they port their games to Microsoft console while leaving PlayStation 3 as an optional choice. Why do you ask? Games on Xbox 360 sells and developers love a system that can easily generate them profits. Its no wonder the PlayStation 3 is in last place since the most consumer don't find the PS3 appealing and they voted with their wallets.
The Kinect is extremely popular with consumer and are flying off the shelves like hotcakes. In an economic sense, Kinect is generating millions of dollars into Microsoft's pockets along with Windows 7, Xbox Live and their other profit generating business. PlayStation Move on the other hand is a huge commercial failure and didn't reach the level of success as Wii mote, much less Microsoft's Kinect.
The problem with Sony's products is that people view them as extremely unreliable and easily breakable. You can find hundreds upon thousands of complains about Sony's TVs, DVD players, computer breaking down in days... If Sony's product is viewed to last no more than a week(e.g. PlayStation Move's controller), why would anyone go out and spend their hard earn dollars on it? I wouldn't.

The Sony PlayStation 3 is famous for YLOD (yellow light of death), which is caused by heating problems (poor engineering in Sony's part). PlayStation 3YLOD gotten so bad that there are hundreds of videos on youtube about people complaining about their faulty console built or how-to-fix the problem. For Sony's poor product quality, google search reports about Sony doing massive recalls throughout its product line. The world quality and Sony should never be put in the same sentence.
They should be independent away from Vivendi. Best possible scenario though is for Microsoft to buy out Blizzard-Activision and port more games on its Windows 7 and Xbox 360 platform.
