Does Gears 2 explain where the locust actually come ffrom? Because if it doesn't the story of Resistance to me is by definition better. NielsNL

I'm yet to play R2 yet, but I think the general concensous from critics is that the story is pretty bg standard. I didnt really care for the first's story, especially when it was presented with melodramatic orchestral music composed on a Cassio keyboard. To be fair I won't vote :)

Next time get someone who's reviewed other games than FIFA and PES. This game is utterly mind blowing.

Knocking a potential 1 point off for "ommissions" (which I didnt notice or care about), likewise for giving LBP a 9.0 for "lack of packed in levels" is utterly ridiculous.

Reviewer guy, be ashamed. This is my GOTY.

After Gears 1, I wasn't expecting too much from Gears 2, but it really sucked me in. It was corny at times, but in all honesty the vast majority of that came from Cole, and anything sounds awesome from Cole :D

The bit that really got me was, you know, THAT bit. You know the one. I don't think I've been quite so effected by a cutscene in a very long time. Could be me being a wimp/fanboy, it could be the fact the "expected" tone of the game left me not expecting anything quite so shocking, but it sure as hell left my jaw dropped for a good few hours after.

I'm neither a cow or lem, but therre are certainly games I like that are stupidly over rated.

MGS4-I like the game, I love MGS, but come on, cows. It isn't the graphics king, it isn't the most amazing game ever, octocamo looks stupid, and it doesn't make the PS3 better than the 360.

Resistance-I don't actually like this, I just think it's grossly over rated, and the beta for R2 is even worse, especially conidering the hype and praise cows are giving it. HOLY CRAP, AWESOME GRAPHICS. IT LOOKS MARGINALLY BETTER THAN HAZE. THE CO-OP IS AS EXHILERATING AS STANDING STILL AND HOLDING DOWN THE FIRE BUTTON FOR 10 MINUTES PER ENEMY...BECAUSE THAT'S ALL IT IS. THE 360 IS OFFICIALLY DEAD.

Forza 2-I really like it, but it's incredibly frustrating at times, especially endurance races.

GT5p-It just outright sucks, and eats your hard drive. Come on, overtaking 15 cars on a speedway in one lap when everyone else is in the exact same car as you? What were they thinking? Also, the online is the most hillariously broken thing ever. I'd be surprised if anyone even plays it anymore.

SSBB-Great for 3 days, then you realise how crap it really is, especially the "end" of the campaign.

"RIght, we need to have a really epic and satisfying ending."

"I KNOW. LET'S MAKE THEM PLAY THROUGH THE ENTIRE GAME AGAIN, ONLY THIS TIME THE SCREEN IS PURPLE."

"GREAT IDEA, FRANK."

Gears 2-One of the 360's best selling games, has chainsaws, perfect for 360's demographic

LBP-On the less popular system, far from appealing to the console's demographic (aside from hardcore gamers and cows), its teh kiddeh.

Gears will probably win.
