One thing I have done when I dual booted was to do so on seperate systems. I had an L shaped desk so to my left was one system and to my right was the other and I could use both at once or as I saw fit. Not the cheapest solution obviously but it worked well for me.

Oxenfree; Life is Strange; Daemon_9; The Lion's Song; Night in the Woods; Supposedly Wonderful Future; Mad Max; Rakuen; Near Death; >observer.

That is my top 10 off the top of my head from the last 4-5 years. I'm probably forgetting some but oh well. I would saya good idea would be just start trying out any free demos that have been released the last few years or go by user reviews like another user has said.

I have tossed out some boxes but I always regret it. I usually like to keep them displayed on a bookshelf in whatever i'm using as my office.

I switched to Linux in 2015 and never went back. I made myself a deal: if I run out of games to play on Linux then I will give up and go back to Windows. I have hundreds of games on my backlog and growing so I continue to enjoy Linux.

My reasons for switching to Linux were purely ideoligcal not technical. I already preferred DRM free games and someone pointed out that Windows is just another form of DRM, even worse one that you pay for. Add that onto the fact that I had zero trust in Microsoft and using a closed source OS became something I refused to do. How can I use something that can't be independently audited from someone I don't trust ? Microsoft continued to anger me from a standpoint of privacy and the lack of user freedom and control.

On the gaming front you still give up a bit of FPS whether the game is native or through emulation. You have to accept the possibility of an FPS drop. The positives around Linux all center around what the OS brings to the table not specifically games. I always ask someone "why are you wanting to switch, why don't you like Windows ?". If you have no reason to switch then you probably will walk away unsatisifed and back to Windows. One way I look at things is that gaming on Linux has continued to improve every month that I have been using it since 2015. My issues with Windows however will never be solved as they are not issues in the eyes of Microsoft but literally how the OS is intended to function.
