$80 dollars a year for the "privilege" of playing the multiplayer portion of the game you purchased? For the ability to back up your game save online? To get access to mediocre game discounts and mediocre free games? ......make it make sense.

Close second is SEGA Genesis

  • Metal Gear Solid 5 really pissed me off. It went from a well-planned and intricate game to another unsophisticated open world time waster.
  • Tomb Raider -- I don't necessarily hate the new games. I actually enjoy them a lot. But it's more action than it is platforming and puzzle solving; something from the old games I miss sorely. It's hard for me to consider it true Tomb Raiding.
  • Mirror's Edge 2 -- Same reason I hated MGS5. More unplanned open world bs.
  • Assassin's creed -- Really loved the first two games, but it became a money-printing machine that lost all its mysticism and fun through lack of innovation and almost yearly releases that convoluted the series' lore.

I am sure if I sit and really think about it there are many other games I can come up with, but for now the ones listed above were the first that came to mind.

60 mil for a 3 yr contract? I would sooner try and fund a game that streamers will want to publicize freely than throw it down the pocket of another flavor-of-the-month streamer.

Kickstarter has become a red flag for me. I'll pass on supporting any game that needs a "kickstart." If it happens, then great. I'll buy it. If not, my money is safe.

Played all the gears but couldn't stick with any for more than an hr or 2. Just not my jam. Halo is another one I just couldn't stomach after the 2nd game. And these are some of the few games that MS keeps pumping out endlessly....surprisingly...on the flip side... despite racers being one of my least favorite genres, Forza has been more and more enjoyable with every release. Hopefully they give these ips a bit of a rest and focus on fresh new ideas. I long for the days of the OG XBox when they had a diverse library to choose from. The OG is one of my fave consoles to date. <3

If you think 2d fighters haven't evolved into another genre, wait until you try Chess. I don't understand why people still play it on a flat surface and move pieces around with their hands. They should make the board mountainous with real geographic elements. The players should only be allowed to move the pieces with their reproductive members.
