@AcidTango: Not sure. TBH not enjoying it as much as Blood or Duke3D.

Still super early in the game, that may change, but the enemies are kinda. Mostly dudes with hit-scan guns. Some spider enemies but they were mostly just annoying.

As say, very early days, might just be a misplaced impression. The first level of Blood put me completely off it, then actually played the full thing and realized it was mostly awesome.

I recently finished Outer Wilds for the first time. It's one of the greatest games I've ever played. I won't post any more pics because I don't wanna spoil it for people who've never played it. And If you've never played it before, go into it completely blind. It's fucking mindblowing

Just finished playing the original Dead Space. Man this game is fun can't believe I was too scared to play it over a decade ago when I bought it XD. Final boss is pretty lackluster though I was expecting more of a challenge. Shame I couldn't play it at 120fps without the physics and game breaking.

Playing some RE4 Remake. The combat is alot more balanced than RE2 Remake (playing on hardcore). It also feels like a completely different game compared to the original RE4, it's awesome. I love how the devs mess with you too to subvert your expectations. sometimes borderline on trolling

What a game so far, It really is better than the original. I love how Ashley helps you with some puzzles. It doesn't feel handholdy like in God Of War, it just feels like she wants to help since she can't do anything during combat. It's great.

Also the remake doesn't give out ammo like candy now. I'm barely surviving

And 16 hours on Hardcore. Gonna do a professional run then a speedrun.

@pclover1980: How was your performance with hairstrands on? My game dropped from 60fps to 10fps whenever I zoomed in with a scope if I had it enabled (RTX2060s)

@clockworkbanana: it was okay for the most part. I never had any FPS issues while zooming out, but I am using the DLSS mod that's floating around. I also used DLAA after I finish the village part. It's the only area where my FPS tanked to where I felt it with Hair Strands on high. Mostly hitting 60+ FPS at 1440p on a 3080 Ti, 3gb textures and no RT.

@pclover1980: Damn I never knew you could mod DLSS in. Wonder why Capcom left it out in the first place

@clockworkbanana: It's not officially supported, it's just using TAA as sort of a bridge for DLSS to work. You might see some glitches like ghosting and UI stuff being wonky, as well as some flickering lights, but nothing super detracting. Using DLAA is also wonderful. Removes all the aforementioned ghosting and is really sharp even at just 1440p.

After messing with a couple of settings, I'm happy with how DLAA has turned out in this. Not too shabby in the performance department too.

Been playing Dead Space 2. Seems I must have bought a deluxe edition or something because I got all the schematics except for regular ones which I don't really need. The Javelin, Rivet, Seeker and Detonator suck in this game. Seems DS2 has been influenced by Uncharted with all the setpieces. Game is still fun though.

My girl also got me TLOU.

@pclover1980: TLOU Part 1 screenshots look incredible. Where those all taken in photo mode? Were you playing it on PC or PS5? All the footage I've seen on it on PC looks the same as PS5 or looks like complete garbage due to how bad the port is.

Anyway finished Dead Space 2. Man the look of defeat and Isaac just giving up during the credits hit hard but then the fake out happened and I was just so hyped to see some hope for him with Ellie coming back.

@NoodleFighter: It's on PC after some patches. Honestly, as much as the visuals are amazing, the world's kinda static. It's all style, barely any substance.

Anyway just finished No Straight Roads. THIS GAME IS FUN! I haven't had this much fun since I was a kid in the early 2000s playing games like Jak and Daxter and Ratchet & Clank or when playing Sunset Overdrive a few years ago. For those of you that are fans of Hi Fi Rush and other action rhythm games I strongly recommend this game! It is criminal how this game hasn't gotten much attention. The game has an early 2000s vibe with its art style and humor. The 2D animated parts look like they belong to a early 2000s Cartoon Network cartoon. Eurogamer described it as a mash up of Jet Set Radio, Psychonauts and Space Channel 5. It is definitely like that. I love the soundtrack too. I love how the soundtracks transition from EDM to Rock throughout the fights.

The plot twist was incredibly predictable but the characters and their interactions are just so fun to watch. I felt genuine sadness when the game ended. The game is kinda short, I beat it in just under 9 hours but it definitely has replay value and its a fun coop game to play with your friends and family. There is a lot of heart put into the characters and lore but its clear they didn't have enough funding to make the game longer. I hope this game was a success for Metronomik, I really want to see a sequel and any other games they make. They've made a type of game that the industry has needed in a long time!

This is making me wanna get a 4080, or maybe even a 4090.

Playing Jedi Survivor on PC in 1440p:

@davillain: Once it's mostly fixed, gonna play on EA Pro... I bit the bullet and bought on PS5, thinking it was gonna be a slightly better experience given the PC outlash. Performance mode is laughably bad and seems to dip into low double-digit fps for no reason, as well as screen-tear to hell and back.

How's your performance?

I'm hovering between 50fps - 60fps which is good, the patch did help out a bit and it really depends on the planet you are in. I'm on Jedha without spoiling anything, the game doesn't dip below 30fps and is nothing like the PS5 version. The PC version isn't half bad and as long as the game is playable, I'm able to enjoy the game fully and it helps if you have a G-Sync monitor.

@davillain: at least it's somewhat better. I'll wait out the pc fix before another playthrough. I finished the game today and Koboh and Jedha were awful on fps drops and tearing, but it could drop heavily in even the most confined spaces.

I want to play this game but I am waiting for the best version to be realized.

I've been playing Spider-Man Remastered for the past 2 weeks. This game was definitely over hyped by cows when it first came out. Don't get me wrong it's a good game but it's not THAT good, as in the best Superhero game ever made. The Batman Arkham series remains king that is a shame too since Rocksteady is going down the crapper thanks to Warner Bros greed. I hope Sony port the Infamous games over to PC I'd love to give them a legit try without using a certain means to do it.

The game also reminded me why I've lost in Spider-Man being my favorite superhero. I just got bored of his "relatability" which nowadays feels like being a self insert. His quips used to be funny to me as a kid but as an adult they make me cringe from how cheesy they mostly are. The fact that the MCU overdoes it with quips too doesn't help either. As an actual New Yorker I've always been bugged by NYCs depiction in fictional media because it is always clearly made by someone who doesn't live in New York or only lives and goes around the most upper class areas and tourist traps. It's too whitewashed for me to get into it because I'm sitting in the opposite of what they're depicting. I give DC props for mostly using fictional places instead of real ones like Marvel because real places can cause readers that actually live their to not feel immersed.

But damn, they really went all out on gear, so many crazy armor sets. Most of them are a lot more interesting to obtain this time around.

It's sick man, found so many armor pieces already. If I had to guess I've only seen about 1/4 of the games content at best. And it seems there's multiple sets per stat bonus (more so than BotW). For example, I already have 4 different helmet types for stealth. Not quite Fashion Souls, but more than I expect from a Zelda game lol.

I just can't put the game down, especially after getting the 60FPS thing.

Just finished the main game of Spider-Man remastered. It was fun, definitely over hyped though. I really hated the MJ sections.

The atmosphere in this game is unreal. The music is on another level, especially during the Rito questline

Is ridiculously good so far and I haven't even seen half of it. Was worried that replaying BotW recently might drag down the experience, but not even close lol.
