@ConanTheStoner: I just stack shields most the time cos I go to the depths a lot and the enemies there hurt so much haha. I do sometimes stack zonai devices to zonai shields, but sometimes they don't work cos the lock on in the game is wonky.

@pclover1980:
Ah gotcha. I do mess with Zonai devices on shields, but didn't even know you could stack shields like that. Crazy. 😂
@pclover1980:
Yeah it was nice, like what they did with that whole section tbh.
Also after finding out your old house is "taken", to be able to build your own. Makes so much sense given the mechanics of the game.
Man, TOTKs exploration rivals Elden Rings. I've only explored half the surface and a quarter of the Depths
The vehicles are dumb but they're fun af and control so well
This thing was like a boss straight out of Elden Ring
And getting the Fierce Deity chestpiece was pure evil. Took me like an hour to find it
Trying to keep it to a blind play, but I also really want the rest of the Fierce Deity set lol. So far only have the boots.
I have the Barbarian set for Attack Up, Phantom Greaves as well. But always thought the Barbarian set just looks dumb.
@lundy86_4:
Yeah, pretty much stumbled across a lot of armor pieces. But I probably need start talking to every NPC if I'm gonna find the rest lol.

The headpiece could be stumbled upon (it's hidden in a similar place as a the boots) but you won't find the Fierce Diety chest piece without activating the quest. Unless you're scouring literally every inch of the map
@clockworkbanana:
Ah, gotcha. Honestly sounds good to me lol. Love stumbling across these things randomly, but following the bread crumbs to a well hidden treasure can be every bit as fun.
Hopefully sooner rather than later, but I'm sure I'll get it eventually.
Edit: Just found the mask lol. Two down, one to go.
Finished Spider-Man DLC last week and just finished Psychonauts. Had a lot of fun with Psychonauts all the way to the end. My two complaints are that boss fights are too easy and the movement is kinda janky. Loved the humor, it was definitely a product of its time. Hearing voice actors from cartoons that were airing around the time of this game's release saying some edgy stuff was hilarious. The game called me out on my resource hording, I've never felt so singled out by a game before.
I normally skip singleplayer in fighting games but I gotta clear World Tour mode to unlock the alt costume for my wife Marisa. It's actually fun, and an amazing tutorial for newbies
Holy **** I wasn't ready for Juris intro
I love how the World Tour mode is basically a Final Fight reboot in the RE Engine. It's also surprisngly long. Feels like a proper fleshed out singleplayer mode. I'm 12 hours in and still haven't unlocked all the Masters
@clockworkbanana: If Abby from TLOU 2 looked like Marisa I don't think fans would've complained so much about her. She certainly would have awakened something in a lot of fans XD.
Any I've been playing Psychonauts 2. I've been taking my time and enjoying the game so far. The art style allowed the first game to age very well but with modern graphics the second game looks like a 3D animated movie.
Just finished Psychonauts 2. Man it was a fun game and it had some great plot twist that weren't so easily predictable unless you really paid attention to the figments and environment details. I felt the interns were underdeveloped and didn't get enough screen time just like the campers in Psychonauts 1. 2nd game seems to suffer the same issue as the first with combat being too easy. I've ever used one dream fluff in my playthrough and that was on the final boss. I really wanted more screen time of Sam Boole. I hope an announcement and reveal of Psychonauts 3 happens at the Xbox Showcase tomorrow.
Beautiful Cammy art. Game is amazing, both singleplayer and online. Online has the best netcode of any fighter I've played
lol
Finished ToTK. The ending is incredible
Great game but does anyone else feel like it felt kinda pointless? It's almost 1:1 rehash of BoTW. The Depths were cool at first but only 1 quest takes place down there, and then the rest is either farming zonite or hunting for classic zelda costumes and Yiga schematics. Why couldn't more of the main quest take place down there? And the Lurelin quest was terrible. The pirates were just generic bokoblins. You think after 6 years theyd create some new enemy types or unique NPCs for the pirates atleast.
Played a few hours of A Plague Tale: Innocence. Man this game is gorgeous. Only major downsides in terms of visuals is that the character models really suck at facial expressions. If it wasn't the tone of voice and obviously depressing setting I wouldn't be able to tell what they were feeling. I've seen PS360 era game model characters show more emotion than the ones in this game. The other downside is the chromatic aberration, it hasn't bothered me in games before but man this game over kills on it, had to put it on low after the first couple of minutes. It was so strong that if I wore 3D glasses while playing it would likely work.
Just finished A Plague Tale: Innocence. Not too long, not too short. Story was okay although I got real sad when a certain blacksmith died. He was a true gigachad. All I know is the true horror of this game is how bad everything must have smelled during all this.
A Plague Tale: Requiem looks amazing. It's a shame they chose RT shadows over RT lighting. Can hardly see a difference but it makes the game run worse, you'd think it was an AMD sponsored title with how bad the RT is. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider had way better RT shadows. RT lighting definitely would have enhanced this game way more visually but even without it this game looks incredible! I see the complaint I had about characters lacking facial expressions got fixed in the sequel. Game had an amazing start too. I like that Requiem lets you play more aggressively but not to the point you're a unstoppable killing machine since it's still a stealth game at it's core. The first few chapters of the game were way more challenging than most of the last half of Innocence.
@rmpumper: It didn't bother me as much as the first game but I did set it to low starting at the third to last picture in my post.
Just finished A Plague Tale: Requiem. I was hooked on the second half. The game left me feeling very sad. A Plague Tale succeeded where The Last Of Us failed. I hope a 3rd game happens I really want to see where the story goes.
The best looking game I've ever played, and I'm only playing it at PS5ish settings. It looks mindblowing in motion
Looks good for the most part.
Also for anyone playing this, turn off/delete the directstorage dlls. It might give you better performance.
Finished Horizon Zero Dawn last night. The combat in the game is fun, with how popular Monster Hunter is it is definitely a smart move on Sony to make a online multiplayer iteration in the franchise. However I think the open world and RPG mechanics ruined this game. HZD should have just stuck to being an action adventure game because the RPG mechanics tacked on are very shallow. None of the choices you make in dialogue make a real difference or impact.
There is also hardly any story in the game. It started off strong with the premise of Aloy being an outcast and when finally being accepted into the tribe they get ambushed with her father figure being killed in the conflict. After that the game just drip feeds you tiny bits of story over long periods of time to the point it felt like nothing was happening until the end. The side quests and errand stories don't hold any weight or impact to the main story even though some of them seem like they should such as the Banuk village with docile machines. The quest were pretty boring too since it was mainly just using the focus to highlight tracks and follow them exactly to where it leads. Aloy herself is a really bland protagonist despite the premise behind her character and her world. I couldn't help but notice that nearly all the male characters in the game were either just dumb, incompetent and/or ridiculously evil. The game has interesting premise behind it but most of the lore involving the new civilizations are just walls of text that say very little so I stopped bothering to read them after about finding 6 of them.
Horizon Zero Dawn is still a fun game worth a play through but I feel if it were an Xbox exclusive reviewers would have been more critical on it especially with BOTW releasing less than 2 weeks after it. I give Guerilla Games prop for Horizon being one of the biggest modern Playstation 1st party games that isn't overly reliant on cinematic elements and has an engaging combat system. Seems Forbidden West is a downgrade in that regard from what I'm looking at.
The Fixer level was visually mindblowing, and a reminder that I really need to upgrade my PC. Fun game, but like every PS5 game, totally forgettable.
Now speaking of the unforgettalb,e I'm playing RDR for the first time
The atmosphere during the final chapters of this game is immense. I can't wait to learn more about Dutch in
RDR2
Started RDR2... holy ****
I don't think I've ever played a game where the NPCs felt so alive. Every time you return to camp something unique is happening, it's insane
