Side note: Tekken 8 has native Dolby Atmos on the Xbox and it sounds outstanding. There is a ton of overhead sound during matches and a lot of LFE. The only disappointment is that it does not support 120hz for smoother fights and lower input lag
I recall reading a few years ago that Rocksteady was very offended that WBIE commissioned an Arkham game because they believed Rocksteady would take too long with Knight and wanted faster revenue.
So it is personal for Rocksteady, they really don't like WB Montreal and won't acknowledge their work despite Origins being an outstanding game.
Microsoft is a multitrillion dollar conglomerate. It and Apple go back and forth on which company is the most valuable in the world by market cap. Yet they cashier 1,900 employees just for a few pennies more in profit.
I’m a huge fan of the Super Metroid soundtrack, I collect vinyl but I was greatly disappointed to learn that this is just a port of the digital version printed onto a platter. That will make me reconsider long and hard about buying this.
Agree wit Schreiber. The Chief doing his Captain Kirk impersonation and getting bizzy with the alien chick was really offputting, gratuitous, and unnecessary. Arnold Schwarzenegger ran into the same issue on Predator where they wanted Dutch to get some jungle nookie with the squad's hostage but he put a stop to that ridiculous tripe.
Not every story needs a romantic subplot. Please stop with the extraneous fluff and give us a real Halo Master Chief story.
The Ubisoft exec stooge is right. Gamers have already become comfortable with no game ownership. Beyond GamePass and PS+, anyone who thinks they “own” a game on Steam or Epic Games Store is a fool.
Even physical disk doesn’t guarantee ownership because every game now must be downloaded from a server with the disk basically being an online DRM check. A disk is useless if they pull the download or online check from the server, just look at DriveClub or Transformers Devastation.
I downloaded and played the demo on Xbox, PS5, and Switch and it’s pretty decent. It runs well on all three platforms. But it is not a great looking game, the janky animations, low polygon character models, flat mostly static backgrounds, and no HDR10 makes this game feel cutrate and low budget.
I’ll pick it up on discount which won’t take long because Ubi games usually get rapidly discounted within 30 days of launch.
