Jedi Survivor is an okay game with a meandering plot, weak non-threatening villains, a twist betrayal that I saw coming from a mile away, and an abrupt incomplete ending. Interesting that Respawn claimed it would be an gen 9 exclusive game but they are working on a gen 8 port which shows that this game didn’t sell to EA’s expectations.
Oh and it launched with performance issues that still haven’t been fully patched out. Buy and play at your own risk.
@godofheck42: video games are frivolous luxury toys. You want the government to step in and tell Sony how to price their products so you can play with your toys for cheaper?
This is the problem with the modern 21st century gamer. If prices go up, instead of shrugging and moving on like a mature well adjusted person, they yell and scream online because they have pathetically centered their entire lives and self worth around pushing plastic buttons to make some 1s and 0s move on a screen.
I want to buy a Rolex Submariner. It’s $20,000. I didn’t yell and scream in the jewelry store, I didn’t post a screed online about how Rolex should be nationalized, I shrugged and moved on. I won’t die without a Rolex, you won’t die without PS+.
Like any other product or service, Sony can set their prices and customers can choose to buy or not. Sony have every right to do this, it's the free market.
And I will vote with my wallet and choose not to renew. The last straw was Sony sending a passive aggressive email stating that I can renew or let it expire which I will do.
I absolutely loved the first game. Its gameplay mixed with horror mystery meta was innovative and so well executed. The sequel will be a day one purchase.
2023 has been an amazing year for video games and Alan Wake 2 joins the crowd as yet another incredible release.
I bought and have been playing Wonder this weekend. I thought it would be a slightly fancied up version of New Super Mario WiiU. I was dead wrong.
This game is absolutely brilliant and full of small details like the clever nuanced animations and the background detail of the stages while running through. My only complaint is as with other Switch games, I wish I could play this in 4K120 with HDR10 or Dolby Vision and maybe even Dolby Atmos.
I also got Spider Man 2 and I actually like Wonder a lot more.
A game like this would never be greenlit and funded by a western developer. If a Japanese guy met with EA to propose a game whose main character is a fat Italian plumber who eats mushrooms, collects coins, and turns into a fat elephant in a magic mushroom world, he would be laughed out of the room and escorted out by security.
I don’t mean to be melodramatic but a reviewer is risking their life by giving a highly anticipated game an 8/10. I have no doubts that death and rape threats will be sent to this reviewer at this very moment.
The worst part is that most of the online keyboard warrior defense force tough guys sending the threats haven’t even played one single minute of this game at this point.
