YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest. I try to use Twitter for professional reasons because it feels like every tech worker is always on Twitter.

I guess I do get it, seeing what titles are hyped. I am not too much into shounen so I usually do not watch it unless I want to say I watched it like with Attack on Titan which if they went a different route, I would have enjoyed it better. As I am getting older, a lot of anime is more on the okay side. There isn't a lot of anime that comes out that is actually above average these days to me.

As for the ecchi stuff unfortunately it is popular because some people are perverts not sure how else to explain it. lol I even like watching it because I just want to see what nonsense they came up with this time. There have been questions when it comes to anime like Eromanga Sensei but eh looks like it might not be stopping anytime soon.

I don't really care if people rather watch dubs because I still watch dubs even though most of the time I watch subs. The main reason for that because the services I pay for and I don't go to other sites to watch anime... just don't feel like it. I do have arguments with people online about this... even I tell people about the screeching female VAs. There have been times when the dub sounds similar to the sub and people still complain. I have to turn down the TV when I am watching a moe or a show with mostly female characters. I do play a lot of JRPGs and breathe a sigh of relief when a company announces there will be a dub especially if it is a moe-centered game.

A lot of anime fans are pretty weird so while I have some friends into anime. it is not many. I think it may have a lot to do with social issues in general.

If this is for real, leave her alone. You should have stopped when she mentioned she has a boyfriend. Why be with someone who already brings baggage and stresses you out? I do feel like this is a bit of deja vu.

To be honest, you should have left her alone when you found out she has a boyfriend. If she is hooking up with other folks, that's their problem. There are a such thing as side dudes. Don't bank on that maybe she will leave him for me game people come up with in their head. Besides, do you really want a girl who gets antsy for lovin' after a few months of you being out of town and rubs on someone else?

Okay, your solution is not to get her to lose weight. Not now.

Your solution is to find out what is wrong with her mentally. That amount of weight gain is HIGHLY unusual in a few months. Going to a gym will not help at this time. She will just either gain it back or not see any results. Talk to her. Talk to her parents about seeing a doctor. She may have an emotional/binge eating problem.

This is why guys get puzzled when girls get angry about them and their weight. There's obviously a bigger problem that you are ignoring and she is in denial of. Guys focus on the physical body because it is visible to you but not any mental cues.

Are you chubby :P

Yup... too chubby if you ask me. haha Mines is more of a lifetime thing but I was telling him to talk to someone first because that is a lot of weight to gain in a short time.

I don't think both are comparable but I am more into manga. I guess I would be into comics but the problem is that most people hype the superhero comics which I am not interested in. I know Marvel is trying to appeal to people like me now but honestly the synopsis of a lot of these comics sound like they hired folks from the Tumblr fanfiction community. I guess someone is buying them.

See this is a problem. There's more to modern comic books than just the superhero stuff if you look hard enough.

Really?

I did not say there wasn't anything more than superhero comics... just they are the only ones that are hyped. Why do I or anyone need to look harder for something? If a company does not do a good job marketing or not many people are talking about it... it won't be known. I did not find gaming by "digging the Internet", I found it by others telling me about it and letting me play. I am sure people are talking about other comics but if I was never drawn in from the start I am not going to dig for something. I have tons of things I am interested in so unless someone gives recommendations I am not going to look deeper into something. People have every opportunity to get people into something but this whole look yourself mantra is putting people off of fandoms.

In my opinion, that's sounds kind of lazy. That you can't type "good comic books that don't have superheroes in them." Or even type them in google and then asked your friends or opinions from other people that are online. I do it all the time for almost everything, and I don't see why would someone like you have a problem with it. Especially when people on youtube write reviews or the subreddits.

Once again, you are forgetting one little thing: am I personally invested to learning more about a medium I haven't been drawn to in the first place? That is my whole point. I have people talk to me about RPGs and how they haven't found one they were interested in.. I don't tell them to go google it. So no I am not lazy because I am not searching the Internet because I am not interested in something as much as others. I made it in my initial post that I was so interested in comics. I said I guess I would be interested which means sure there is a small bit of interest but if it was on a bucket list it would be low on the list. What makes you think I did not Google it? I have looked up some comics that some YouTubers I follow mentioned along with what some other folks have said and decided I was not interested in them. I do find it funny that you thought I did not Google it.

There was no need for this nasty attitude.
