[QUOTE="bobbetybob"] That makes perfect sense, you'd get absolutely destroyed playing on harder difficulties with a level 1 character.Jandurin

I can understand that it makes sense. But I don't think that a game that has been developed this long should exclude some kind of option to go around this hurdle. Can I present you an option? Not right now, nor would I have the patience, but then again I'm not the one being paid to think about this stuff.

Playing with a different class can be endearing, but having that in the background can be a problem from where I'm coming from. I realise that it's difficult to accomodate everyone, but I still think they could have thought of something to get around this problem.

Having to repeat the game over and over again in the easiest difficulty the product has to offer, will eat the enjoyment of replay value for me. Some of the people I know already feel like not finishing it with other classes because of it. I'm starting to think that might be the case as well with me.

you've never played diablo before?

Yes, but that's not the problem. Like I said above, especially if the game is as easy as people are saying that it is. I guess I'll have to play it first, but so far I'm getting that it's a cakewalk in comparison to the other games in the series.

As for your other posts, you do have a point.

Someone just told me that each time you begin with a different class you always have to finish the game with it on normal mode before you unlock the other difficulties.

It sounds a bit, well, that doesn't sound good to me :/ in terms of replay value. Especially if the game is as easy as I'm hearing.

It doesn't take super long to get through the game once I heard. So it shouldn't be much of an issue.

That is true, the second playthrough will probably be a breeze.

Well look at the bright side, it could be worse. It could be a Half Life 3 situation. Bummer though :/

Hopefully the reviews won't take that long to get out. I want to read a bit more on the game.

Jandurin

fvck reviews just give system warriors a week with the game and they'll know more than any reviewer

Hahaha, the thing is, I wasn't just talking about "professional". The ridiculous user score reviews on metacritic, unfortunately, are exactly that. So yeah, I'll wait until some friends finish it, some of the gaming communities put a decent opinion out, or the professional reviewers get their act together.

[QUOTE="SAGE_OF_FIRE"]Do I have to unlock the harder difficulties? Wasdie

Yes. They build upon each other.

You're supposed to play the game 3 times through with one character to get them to max level. Then there is one playthrough of end-game content. That's just for one character.

The game has a ton of content. If a single play through takes 10 hours, that's fine. You're meant to play each character at least 3 times through.

Yeah I was finding it weird that some of the people I know were complaining about the difficulty, until they explained.

I have a feeling though, that they're complaining a bit too much about the stats--which apparently aren't there anymore. Outside of that, I'm having some doubts, some of these guys--bless their golden hearts--would cut my head off were I to bad-mouth Blizzard.

Hopefully the reviews won't take that long to get out. I want to read a bit more on the game.

So far I'm having people tell me the game is too easy, the stat system works differently and it´s not very good, that Torchlight has more depth, and the story is completely predictable and all over the place--too many side stories from what I'm getting.

Guess I'll have to play it and find out.

Hell no. Fortunately there´s a lot of talented people in the industry and great titles that have nothing to do with Nintendo. While I like them very much, I really don´t feel like it would be that much of a blow for me if their titles were to stop being developed; the company in general though?--handheld market, and their consoles? Sure, that would be somewhat of a blow to the industry.

That said, fortunately, that´s not going to happen anyway. At least not anytime soon.
