Best art style, perhaps... which is subjective. I think the best it could hope to claim is that it may for a time be the best looking console game. But the game play? Lots of doubts coming from the press, including the journalists on this very site.

Mass Effect all the way. KOTOR was cool back in the day, and established the foundation for the Mass Effect titles. It was clear BioWare wanted the Star Wars vibe, but freed from narrative shackles, and I like their distinct take on the genre, as well as the myriad of gameplay improvements.

No, I avoid all things Geoff Keighly related. I met him once, and man the guy is the biggest jerk in the industry. His awards show sucks worse than the Code Red Mountain Dew he shills.

If they want to have a real awards show that has it's finger on the pulse of the community, it should be run and hosted by the YouTube community.

The alternative interface devices for the Wii U and the Xbox One both failed big time. I'm a fan of alternative interface devices. Looking forward to seeing how VR plays out.

Titanfall was badass, so this is good news for everyone. And I'll bet dollars to doughnuts (well, cheap doughnuts, I suppose. Doughnut holes?) that they are adding a campaign after the negative critical reaction to their failed 'narrative' missions.

I would recommend PC. I'm playing it with Xbox 360 controls, and the choice is very nice.

Also, with Bioware I always recommend PC because they make games that span generations, and their DLC never gets price drops. If you, like I did, purchased all the DLC for Mass Effect 1-3, you will be unhappy when you want to replay the games again when Mass Effect 4 comes out and all your DLC is tied to a last gen console. I picked up all 3 Mass Effect games on PC for about $5 each, but the DLC total price is about $60 for ME 2 and 3, which is crazy. So get PC... the choice continuity lends itself to replays in several years, and you don't want to be tied to dated hardware forever.

Edit: Mac? Oh... I whichever console you like the most.

Alien Isolation and Metro 2033 redux are both highly atmospheric lookers on max. Unity is probably my third choice, but considering all the bugs, it doesn't' seem fair. I guess I'll go with Mordor instead... 'dem Orks!

It's been a better year than 2006-2007, but overall it's been a bit below average. I purchased a new video card in anticipation of Watch Dogs, and it was one of the greatest disappointments ever. Then again, Alien Isolation and Dragon Age Inquisition have been stellar.
